Spring has arrived and so has “Month of the Military Child!” April brings a special time to recognize and acknowledge the contribution our military children also make to the mission on a daily basis. This year’s Month of the Military Child Parade will be held on 15 April along with the Annual Children’s Art Auction from 11-22 April. Everyone is welcome to come to both events and cheer on the children at our CDCs and School Age programs, as well as bid on artwork throughout the centers. If you haven’t noticed yet, there’s a new game in town, too! FootGolf has been added to our Bay Palms Golf Course! All ages are welcome to play! FootGolf involves kicking a soccer ball to various larger holes on the course and may be as slow or as fast paced as you want to play. Bring the whole family or your dorm mates and try it out. It’s great exercise and a ton of fun! Now on instagram! Don’t forget to make your reservations for Mother’s Day Brunch at the Surf’s Edge Club, too! Treat mom, on her special day, to one of two seatings at 10:30am & 1pm. Turn-about is fair play, so in June, bring dad out to Bay Palms Golf Complex for a Father’s Day Brunch at 11am and 1:30pm and then let him lose on the fairways to finish out the day.
