Leadership.

Volunteerism.
United Way’s Women’s Leadership Initiative is committed to leadership,
philanthropy and volunteerism!
Our mission is simple — we aim to mobilize the power of women to
give, advocate and volunteer in support of underserved individuals
throughout our region.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative’s signature program in
southeastern Pennsylvania, Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow (GTLT),
empowers girls in grades 7 through 12 who attend schools in underserved communities to stay on track to graduation. Through interactive workshops and regular mentoring provided by caring women,
GTLT participants are encouraged to succeed in academics, engage
in community service and embrace their leadership potential.
Celebrate!
Each year, the Women’s Leadership Initiative Gala recognizes a
leader who has committed her time, talent and treasure to furthering
the goals of United Way through philanthropy and volunteerism!
Our 2016 recipient is:
JAMI WINTZ MCKEON
PARTNER AND GLOBAL CHAIR, MORGAN, LEWIS & BOCKIUS LLP
We are proud to honor Jami Wintz McKeon, who is the first woman in Morgan, Lewis
& Bockius LLP’s 143-year history to hold the position of chair. Under her leadership,
their Philadelphia practice has vaulted into the top ranks of global law firms. In
addition to her professional success, Jami has demonstrated a true commitment to
our United Way for many years through her philanthropy, not only as a Tocqueville Society
member, but also as a passionate volunteer and advocate to help advance our region.
New this year! Next Generation Leader Award — Recipient to be announced soon
This recognition will be presented to a woman 35 and under who has not only accomplished
exemplary professional success, but also lives our motto, GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER.
