The Montreal Barbarians Club realizes that the future of rugby rests with our youth (ages 5 to 18). With this
in mind we provide fun, exciting and active programs for young rugby players. The training sessions are
designed to help children develop better balance, physical skills, endurance, and strength while having lots of
fun! Programs are also designed with safety in mind and to better educate kids about the benefits of rugby.
Kids will learn the basic rules of rugby, skills such as kicking, catching, and passing a ball as well as life skills
such as respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship. For the older kids tackling will be introduced.

SOCCER
DOLLARD SOCCER CLUB
514-421-2928
www.dollardsoccer.org
Fall:
Dollard Soccer will be continuing to run its winter Soccer Academy, which will start in October and run
through to March. This 22 week program is geared towards developing potential Inter-city players for
the coming 2015 summer season. Selection to the Winter Academy does not guarantee a spot on an
Inter-city team.
Winter:
The indoor recreational league is a program offered from January to March, for 10 weeks. The onehour sessions will include some skill development before every league game. The league games are for
players born from 1997 to 2007. These sessions are under the excellent tutelage of our technical
department. Recreational league coaches will be asked to coach a team.
Summer:
There is a choice of two leagues through the summer months; the Inter-city league and the Inter-park
league (also known as House League). The Inter-park league is recreational. The time commitment is
two weekday evenings. The Inter-city league is for more competitive players. Inter-city begins with
open tryouts in the Fall, Winter, and invitational spring tryouts. The time commitment in the summer
months is two to three times per week (maybe games on the weekends at U12-U18) and possibly a
tournament(s) (tournaments are selected by individual teams after coach/parent meeting and are not
mandatory). We are working towards establishing AAA soccer teams starting at U14 to U18 which will
play in the Elite league throughout Quebec.
Summer Camp: We have a summer camp from June to August for boys and girls 6 - 16 years old from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
and day care from 7:45-9 a.m. and 4–5:15 p.m. with extended daycare available if needed. The camp
is based at DDO 1 & 2 soccer fields across the street from the Dollard Civic Centre. The camp also offers
supervise swimming at the DDO Civic Centre after lunch from 1:15-2:15 p.m.
Our Summer Camp has been a success for over 10 years and is run by Dollard Soccer Club Technical
Director, Rohan Pirali
We introduce soccer at age 4 (who play on Saturday mornings) in our club and spans ages from U5 through to seniors.

In-School Mentors encourage and support children in elementary school, by providing one-on-one
attention. They do fun activities together such as crafts, reading, computer, and playing in the gym or
outside. The volunteer and child meet for one hour per week for the school year. Teens, if you are 15 years
and older, you are eligible to be a teen mentor!
Go Girls! and Game On! are short school-based programs offered to grade 6 students. Volunteers teach
