Parade Confirmation Packet and Line Up
WWW.INDYSPORTSFOUNDATION.COM WWW.INDYSTPATS.COM Dear Parade Participant: Congratulations. The Indy Sports Foundation would like to welcome you to the 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Presented by the Hoosier Lottery in downtown Indianapolis. You are among the 100+ units we will have in this year’s Parade. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Friday, March 15th, 2013 and it will kick-off at 11:30am on the corner of North and Pennsylvania Streets downtown. The following are instructions and regulations for the Parade: • There are six (6) divisions with Division 1 being the first one out followed by 1A and then proceeding in numerical order. The complete line-up is enclosed and the number next to your name tells you your place in that Division with the number one (1) being the first unit out in the Division. • The Parade Marshalling map will tell you where each Division will set-up on the street. We will have Division Marshals on-site to help position your unit. Parade Marshalling begins at 10am. • We have also included a Parade Route map and links to print your bus or Parade unit vehicle pass to get across police lines. This is only for vehicles that will be on the Parade Route. Bus parking passes are also included for participating schools • We cannot stress enough that throwing objects of any kind into the crowd is prohibited. If you have candy, it must handed to spectators along the Parade route. This rule WILL be enforced. • Please be very cautious of all pedestrians that participate or watch the Parade. • No promotional/logo items may be distributed on the route without approval of the Indy Sports Foundation Board. • Forward motion must be maintained at all times. Keep 50ft behind the Parade unit in front of you. Do not stop when crossing the end of the Parade route (Vermont and Meridian). The official finish line is Meridian and Vermont Street. Most of you will directed off the Parade route by heading east Michigan. Importantly, any and all information and last minute updates will be on our website www.Indystpats.com, Facebook (St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Indianapolis) or Twitter @indystpats pages. We encourage you to check the website or social media sites for information about any of the St. Patrick’s Day events March 14,15 & 16. In addition and very important to the safety of the participants and the spectators, all participants of the units must respond immediately and positively to comments from Parade and public safety personnel. Any disregard will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal of the entire unit from the Parade and exclusion for the unit or a similarly formed unit in the future. We are looking forward to this year’s Parade and are happy to have you take part in a great event. Remember, safety is the number one priority. Let’s have a great Parade. Please checkout www.indystpats.com or call 888-756-3552 for information. Thank you.
