President’s Message
Dear Cabrini Members:
This Cabrini board is almost
finishing its term and what a
wonderful year it has been. Just one
more June meeting coming up, the
Philanthropy meeting. Please try to
attend and learn about the wonderful
work these agencies do to help
people.
For the past seven-plus years I have had the privilege of being your
chaplain. You have exemplified the Lord’s commandment to “love
one another” by your willingness to reach out to others, especially
the least among us. I can’t begin to tell you what an inspiration that
has been for me!
Having moved to the Conejo Valley four years ago, I’ve encountered
many challenges in keeping my commitment of driving down to
Glendale to be present at your monthly meetings. Coupled with the
fact that I’ll be on sabbatical this fall, I’ve decided now is a good
time to withdraw from my role in the Guild.
I want to thank you all for your extreme kindness and generous spirit
these past years and will continue to pray for your success in the
future. I still hope to get down for a periodic meeting and to keep in
touch in the months and years ahead!
Most gratefully,Father Paul J. Hruby
A big thank you to Miryam and her
committee for a successful "Saturday
Bingo". We were able to welcome
our working members and many
guests. A newly elected board was
approved by all present.
We need to thank the new officers
that are willing to serve the Guild.
They will be installed at the June
meeting by Father Paul. It will be
Father Paul's last meeting with us.
In the fall we will welcome Father
Tim McGowan as our new
moderator.
See you then.
Marie Urrutia, President
