INTRODUCING “NADIA” ~ Hoytt’s Perfect Score A new girl for Carol and Wayne Stephens ~ Wayne has big plans in the obedience world for this girl! Here’s “MAJOR” We spent 5 days at our cabin in Pigeon Forge with some friends. We told them to go ahead and bring Albert their little Boston/Frenchy rescue, since we know that Major does well with other dogs. After a brief introduction, the 2 seemed to do fine. Albert stayed in his crate in the down stairs area of the cabin the first time we left and we discovered that if we brought Albert’s crate within eye sight of Major all was well. ! The best part of this new friendship was the bones. Major had a brand new favorite antler that we gave him, and Albert kept wanting to chew it. Major would let him chew for a few minutes then very gently take it away from Albert and proceed to lay down and chew. On the 3rd day I witnessed something I thought was quite amazing. There was a Nyla bone in Major’s basket that he didn’t care much about. Major took it out of the basket and laid it in front of Albert. The Nyla Bone has some sort of flavoring in the middle and Albert took to it right away…..problem solved. Major didn’t have to share the antler anymore and Albert was happy chewing the Nyla Bone!!! See the photo of the two of them chewing together. :) I thought that was very sweet and smart of Major to make a trade!!! Such a good boy!! ! Ross and Ivy hanging on the beach Here’s “NICO” Nico was the neighborhood hero before we moved from Colorado. ! Our next door neighbor's were in Israel when one early morning a drunk driver left the road and plowed into their house taking out one corner of the house. ! It was five in the morning and Nico was outside and realizing something was wrong, he barked his Dobe bark alerting us. ! A tow truck was in the process of removing the car. When Don asked if the police had been called the tow truck driver turned off his truck. Don called the police. From this action our neighbors were able to get their house fixed from the driver's insurance. ! Nico also protected the neighbor's goats from the coyote. In March our boy received his angel wings. Nico was a hero to us and a devoted much loved companion. We miss him so much.
