MERCADO BILINGÜE DICIEMBRE 2015 5 BUYING FROM A DEALERSHIP? REMEMBER THESE 3 TIPS. There is a reason why buying a car during the holidays is a good idea – many dealerships put on some jolly good sales around this time of year. But no matter how good the sale is, there are still some year-round tips to keep in mind when purchasing a car from a dealership. To get these tips, we talked to some Latino salesmen from Burleson Nissan in Burleson. TIP #1: BUYING A NEW CAR INSTEAD OF A USED CAR CAN SAVE YOU MONEY A used car should be cheaper and easier than a used car, right? Well, that’s not entirely true. Peter Melendez, Jr.: When I bought my car at Burleson Nissan, Jamie, my salesman, taught me that it was easier to get into a new car because there was things like rebates and other saving to make up for no down payment. Gilberto Gallardo: I believe when people buy a car, they don’t know the savings, discounts and rebates that they’re getting. That’s why I help them save and get their budget where it needs to be. NOW HIRING BILINGUAL SALESPEOPLE Earn up to $100,000 a year Sign on bonus up to $3,000 for experience »»Paid Vacation »»Management Advancement »»5 day work weeks OTHER BENEFITS OFFERED: Medical, 401k, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance To apply email jcrain@burlesonnissan.com 6 DICIEMBRE 2015 TIP #2: A DOWN PAYMENT AND A SHORT TERM LOAN ARE BEST Jhonatan Villezcas: The best way to buy a car, honestly, is short term and with a down payment. That way you don’t finance a lot and you don’t pay a lot of interest. We have a lot of customers who feel good when they don’t have to pay a down payment, but they don’t know they are going to end up paying more. The less you finance, the less money you are going to have to pay. So if you bring a down payment, you’re going to get a lower interest rate and shorter term. Then the car is automatically going to be an asset instead of a liability. That’s something I see in the Latino community. Most of them have good credit, but if they see that they don’t have to bring a down payment, they feel good about doing that. But they’ll actually be losing money that way. TIP # 3: DON’T FEEL INTIMIDATED WALKING INTO A DEALERSHIP We Latinos can be humble people so walking into a dealership can be an unfamiliar experience. Don’t worry though: Pedro Melendez says don’t let a bad experience at a dealership sour your attitude. Pedro Melendez: A lot of people tell me that the last time they bought a car from a dealership they had a terrible experience. When I hear that I think, “excuse me?” Are you asking for a free car? No, you are going to pay for that car so you deserve a great experience. MERCADO BILINGÜE Get a Free Gift and More from DALLAS DUNCANVILLE DALLAS BURLESON SUNDAY, NOV. 29 3PM-5PM MetroPCS 3333 W.
