September 2016 Page 8 FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dear Members and Friends of The Social, This is my last letter as Executive Director of The Social. The past year has been a roller coaster of challenges and emotions, but I don’t regret a minute. Each obstacle and mistake has been a wealth of experience for me. It’s made me stronger and offered so many teaching moments. I’ve been so fortunate to meet so many wonderful new friends and colleagues. You’ve all touched my life in many ways and allowed me to become part of yours. For that, I’m so grateful. I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all the volunteers who have helped make my job easier every day. I would also like to thank the board of The Social for their guidance, counsel and friendship. They have been outstanding partners in this endeavor. A special thanks to Justin and our support staff for putting up with me and making The Social look good every day. Keep up the good work serving our growing membership. Finally, I’d like to offer my sincere appreciation, love and gratitude to Andrea Sutherland. She’s been my rock since the minute I walked in the door. We’ve laughed, cried, solved problems, organized events, cooked meals and even acted in murder mystery theater together! If you can pack a lifetime of experience into one year, with one person, I’ve done that with Andrea. She’s the best of the best and I will miss her every day! I know I probably forgot to thank someone, but please know that you’re all in my thoughts and my heart. It was not an easy decision to leave, but one that is ultimately best for my family. I will miss you all dearly, so don’t be surprised if I sneak in once in a while for some hugs. My best to you all! Sincerely, Sarah Rogers, Executive Director SUPPORTERS Page 9 The Social of Greenwood is a SHIP enrollment site.
