Every year the Chamber’s Expo brings together close to 100 businesses to exhibit their ideas and
products to hundreds of visitors. This year’s event, sponsored by Atlantic Tire & Service, will take

Exciting Events Coming in January
The Chamber Challenge will kickoff in January - and we will be asking you to take part! This year’s
membership drive will be a drive like no other. Your company can participate and challenge your
rival to beat them at numbers. More information to come...we hope you’re ready!
Do you wish you had an opportunity to work with some of our nonprofits in the area? We are going
to be giving you an opportunity with “A Day of Service”. We are compiling needs from our area
nonprofits and will be organizing a day that our members can participate in service. Sign-ups begin
in January - with more information to follow. We also could use a select few sponsors to help with

Future Leaders of Tomorrow - Leadership Cary and Youth Leadership Kick-Off
The 2014-15 Leadership Cary program kicked off in October with a diverse group of participants.
Participants will learn about the economic, social, cultural and political facets of the community from
the leadership of today. Through the program, participants will become more knowledgeable about
the community and find areas of interest in which they would like to become more involved. This
program is sponsored by WakeMed Cary Hospital, MetLife, Duke Energy, Siemens Medical

On October 16th, Youth Leadership Cary participants gathered at Bond Park for a community
service project to kick-off their annual program which was spent helping the Town of Cary as
spruce volunteers. This year’s group includes youth leaders from: Athens Drive, Cary, Green Hope
and Panther Creek High Schools. The YLC Program is sponsored by AT&T, Siemens Medical
Solutions USA, and the Town of Cary.

2015 Reverse Car Raffle & Auction
February 25th - Prestonwood Country Club
Mark your calendars for the annual Car Raffle & Auction
to be held on February 25th at Prestonwood Country
Club’s Grand Ballroom. The silent auction and social will
begin at 5:30 p.m. with the live auction begining at 7 p.m.
$100 Car Raffle tickets for our vehicle from Hendrick
Cary Auto Mall, may be purchased from Board Members,
Ambassadors and Staff beginning in December. Once
again, we will feature hundreds of items to bid on, which
in the past have included sports memorabilia, rounds of
golf, vacations, restaurant gift certificates and more!

We have two exciting speakers coming up for our final
luncheons in 2014. We hope you’ll join us for Andrea
Weigl, Food Editor with the News and Observer, on
November 20th for “Chew on This: State Fair to Fine
Dining!”. We will also have Joy Currey from Corral Riding
Academy on December 18th, for our luncheon featuring a
nonprofit member.

The Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel are

Bill Leslie, a New Age composer and recording artist who performs traditional as well as
Celtic fusion music. In addition, Bill has written
music featured on two albums by Bragh Adair.

was named “Best Holiday Album” in 2005.
Leslie’s 2008 release “Blue Ridge Reunion”

Paragon Bank has opened its new Cary
office, marking the bank’s third North Carolina
location, in addition to longstanding offices in
Raleigh and Charlotte. The 2,711-square-foot
office will serve the bank’s increasing private
banking and commercial clientele in Cary and
