Aberdeen P Caravan Site P Tarland Trails Drummy Wood Tarland Square Aboyne Drummy Wood is owned by The MacRobert Trust and the site of the bike trails is leased to Tarland Development Group. The Trust also helped to fund the project. This project has been part financed by MARR partnership AREA There is a small car park at the start of the trails, if this is full please use the parking in the centre of the village. Be respectful of residents. Do not block access to their driveways. There is no vehicular access beyond the car park, except in an emergency. For all Ages and Abilities. Drummy Wo od s The trails have been designed for a wide range of users from novice to experienced and competent riders, balance bikes, mountain bikes and jump bikes. Do laps, test your skills or time yourself but please follow our safety advice and respect other users such as walkers and horse riders. The Spikey Hedgehog Blue: Moderate The Red Squirrel Red: Difficult The Slinky Fox Orange: Extreme SUITABLE FOR Intermediate cyclists with basic off-road skills. Basic mountain or hybrid bikes. Proficient mountain bikers with good off-road riding skills. Better quality bikes. Experienced riders with a high level of technical ability. Good quality downhill bikes. TRAIL AND SURFACE TYPE Some short steep sections with some technical features such as rock or roots. A challenging descent with berms and small rock drop offs. Expect a series of table tops and split level jumps of different sizes and difficulty. The Puddock Purple: Pump track and skills area An area for all standards and ages of riders. Use only your momentum to get through the berms and rollers - the less you can pedal, the more you're showing your skills. Helmet and gloves must be worn. Respect other users.
