a
Charolais Friends,
I am really excited and enthused
about the high quality of the
consignments to this years National
Charolais Sale at Agribition.
I would like to commend the
consignors for stepping forward
and supporting this sale with a truly
dynamic set of Charolais genetics.
There are some really Unique
Herdbulls on offer with tremendous
money making potential.
The females are an elite group and
represent the very best genetics
from their respective herds. They will form the cornerstone
to build a program, an embryo program, or just real solid
genetics to enhance your herd at home.

The heifer calves are truly exciting – Show Candidates
with the potential to be “special” mama cows down the

I would like to thank the Saskatchewan Charolais
Association and Sale Chairman, Greg Gilliland, for the
opportunity to put together this quality set of cattle for
our NATIONAL CHAROLAIS SALE. I would encourage our
Charolais Membership to support this event and make it

Selling Choice of Mother or Daughter…
• Rollin’ Acres Lizzie 7S has been the cornerstone of our show string since she
was a heifer calf. Her French influence allows her to be a complete outcross
to anyone’s herd. Lizzie 7S comes to you as the most complete cow that
we have raised. This long bodied, deep ribbed, well uddered female has the
potential to be a powerful brood cow on pasture or a strong competitor in
the show ring. Her first calf was purchased at the Uppin’ the Ante sale by
Whiskey Hollow Cattle Co.
• LIke her mother, Rollin’ Acres 17W would be a great addition to any herd.
This deep ribbed, stout heifer is arguably as good as her mother.
• We are delighted to offer you the choice of these two outstanding, herdbuilding
females.
• You be the judge and take your choice. We cannot part with both of these
exceptional females.
• We definitely think that both of these females are of herdbuilding - DONOR
QUALITY!
• If you choose Rollin’ Acres Lizzie 7S, we retain the right to flush her at our
expense and at your convenience.

Pedigree Plus!!
• We are excited to offer you Miss Prairie Cove 911W.
PRAIRIE COVE MISS 911W
• You will love the middle, muscle and eye appeal in this mellow, easy doing
heifer.
• What a great opoportunity to start a genetically explosive line of award winning
Charolais - Trophy X Krystal 116R. There are only two calves on the ground
from Trophy (the 2008 Agribition Champion Bull) and 911W is one of them!
• Her dam, Sparrows Krystal 110R, was our high selling pick of the bred heifers
from the reputation A. Sparrow Farm herd in 2006. This Latoro mother shows
the true breed character of what a Charolais cow should look like - and we all
know that superior females come from great mothers.
• We are showing the pair at the show tomorrow and feel they will be very
competitive under the astute eye of Judge Dennis Ericson.
• We are happy to be part of the Agribition sale that Dale has put together. What
a spectacular and exciting group of Charolais cattle!

TERMS & CONDITIONS
TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at the sale unless
satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property
shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of
the sale before any cattle will be released. The Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids
from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made credit
clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sales Manager. All monies are in Canadian
funds. Sale is not complete until final payment is received.
DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no
further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last
bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters is final.
PURCHASERS RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements
from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed
matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais
Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each
animal after settlement has been made.
BREEDER’S GUARANTEE, BULLS: Should any bull (14) fourteen months of age or over,
fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be
reported in writing to the seller within (6) six months following the date of purchase or (6)
six months after the bull has reached (14) fourteen months of age. The seller will then have
the right and privilege of (6)six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that
semen collected from the bull will freeze.
FEMALES: Cows represented as being ”safe in calf” have been examined and declared safe
by a licensed veterinarian. Pregnancy status is an estimation only, and is not a guarantee of
due dates. They are considered breeders without further guarantee. Cows with calves at side
shall be considered breeders without further guarantee. Cows and heifers represented as
bred are not “safe in calf” but they and open heifers selling as individual lots are guaranteed
to be breeders. No guarantees apply to sucking calves.
In the event a female is claimed to be a non-breeder after having been bred regularly to a bull
known to be a breeder and after having been treated by a licensed veterinarian, the matter
must be reported in writing within (6) six months of sale date, to the seller. Heifers under (12)
twelve months of age and purchased as single lots and who fail to conceive to the service of
a bull known to be a breeder, the matter must be reported in writing to the seller before the
heifer reaches (18) eighteen months of age. The seller shall have (6) six additional months
in which to prove any such female a breeder and may use any registered Charolais bull
available to him. Any female returned will be at the purchaser’s risk. No guarantee is given
that a pregnant female will deliver live calves or that she will carry calves full term nor that
the calf carried will not be mummified.
In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been
sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time.
EXCEPTION OF GUARANTEE: In case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or
surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.
SETTLEMENT: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account
of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, care, A.I., signing fees, interest,
veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller
is successful in proving the animal in question a breeder, the said animal will be reclaimed by
the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, then the
buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement F.O.B. ranch or location of origin or a refund
of the actual price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale
Management will appoint a mediator.
ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of
buyers, neither the sale manager, sale staff, or sellers assume any responsibility in this matter
and disclaim any liability, legal or other wise, in the event of accident or loss of property.
D BAR L LIVESTOCK IS AGENT ONLY: D Bar L Livestock is only acting as a medium
between the buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of
either party to live up to his obligations, or for the truth of any warrantees or representations,
express or implied. Neither does D Bar L Livestock assume any financial obligations to
collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties.
D Bar L Livestock assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer.
Any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be between the buyer and the
seller. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations.
MAIL OR TELEPHONE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone or mail their bids
and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be
received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a
