There will be a lot of breeder’s wanting to take a look at this power herd sire in Kansas City.
This is a first time consignment from the Sturgess family in the National Sale and they waited until
they had the goods. They told me, “Put simply, he’s the best we have raised and would love to
share him.”
This bull caught the attention of Jerry & Michael Sturgess since he was a baby calf and has
continued to shine as he aged. If you value traits like volume, thickness, structural correctness and
soundness, then you should take a serious look at this exciting herd sire. Sired by the great Ledger,
he also exhibits the ease of flesh, depth of rib and flank and the superior carcass traits of his sire. Maternally, he is out of the most
dynamic Charolais female ever born on the ranch. Just study her picture with excellent udder quality and more milk than the numbers
suggest. She will move into the embryo program after she calves to LT Blue Value this coming year.
Want another added plus; this big puppy-dog disposition herd bull, never had a halter on him until he was twenty months old when
Jason Hankins received him in August 2014!
He stands out on all four corners, he has the pedigree, the data, the disposition and outstanding Sturgess family standing behind and
beside him!
Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.

Calving ease in a powerful package! The hunt for an outcross calving ease sire stops here.
With an actual birth weight of 78 lbs. and EPDs in the top 2% for CE, 3% for MCE and in the top
15% for BW, this big-ended, powerhouse can be used on first calf heifers with confidence. His sire
WR Wrangler W601, is an AICA Trait Leader for Calving Ease. This extra gentle herd sire prospect
has the potential to headline many breeding programs.
Bojangles started his show career the right way by winning his class and division at the Iowa
State Fair in August. Big-bodied, easy fleshing, sound and attractive are all correct descriptions
for him. His dam is an exciting first-calf-heifer with a perfect udder, good feet and is backed up
by Summit’s proven donor, Three Trees Vanna 1801, who has stayed in the Summit E.T. program
longer than any cow to move through their herd. Over and over the Rio Bravo daughters and
granddaughters are coming to the forefront as consistent producers at Summit Farms and herds
across the United States.
Summit Farms would like to retain a ¼ semen interest in Bojangles for the opportunity to
collect him for in herd use only, but would assist in promoting him and also entertain the option of
showing him in the future for the new owners.
Selling ¾ interest and full possession.

It is always rewarding to see a mating meet the highest expectations that the breeders had for
it, but even more rewarding when it goes above and beyond that expectation! RF Excel is that herd
sire prospect and more. He is a bull that is square-hipped, extremely deep-bodied, capacious in his rib
shape and when put into motion, he certainly doesn’t disappoint.
He comes from a stacked pedigree of breed giants. Every sire in his pedigree has greatly
influenced our breed and every dam in his pedigree has been a high-end donor for some of the elite
programs in our breed. His sire X-Factor was a former Show Bull of the Year and X-Factor’s dam a
past Show Dam of the Year. Excel’s dam, RF Greta 97Z is a full sister to Parker Henley’s RF Greta
96Z, the #6 Show Female of the Year for 2013-14. She sold in the 2012 Ridder Farms Showgirls
Sale for $10,000 and the Ridder’s kept the full sister 97Z, dam of this bull to carry on that genetic
power line. Greta 96Z was the National Junior Calf Champion in 2013, a division Champion at
the AIJCA Jr. National and the Grand Champion Female at the 2013 Missouri State Fair. This
pedigree is built for success with Fire Water having been a National Champion Bull, sired many
other National Champions and the maternal granddam of this bull, RLL Goin’ Places having been a
Reserve National Champion Female.
The Ridder’s will reserve the show rights on RF Excel 427 until after the January National
Western Stock Show where he will anchor their Pen of Bulls.

Selling a Guaranteed Successful Flush in the dam of the National Champion
Bull-BJCF Watt Z36!
Bar J Charolais has a tremendous track record of producing Champion show cattle, but this lot
ties together that success and desire to be on the top. This is your opportunity to flush the dam
of the current National Champion Bull to your herd sire for an unforgettable experience. Not only
was BJCF Watt the 2014 National Champion Bull in Denver, but he was the 2013-2014 AICA
Show Bull of the Year and his dam (this flush donor) was the #2 Show Dam of the Year.
Mamie 764 is a soft, smooth, thick, deep-bodied, beautiful individual with built in power
along with an excellent udder. Three of her last four calves have gone straight into the Bar J show
string.
Her dam M6 Ms Mark 9485 was a tremendous donor dam for M6 Ranches and propagated
the Mamie cow family with 27 mostly E.T. progeny. More great donor dams dominate the top
side of this donor’s pedigree with the dam of LT Wyoming Wind, the dam of Three Trees Wind
0383 and WCR Miss Mac IV 5138, one of Three Trees most powerful donors.
This exciting donor calved again this fall and is ready to flush immediately.

There are slot machines that pay out fairly well, some that never pay out and
there must be one slot machines that must hit the jackpot every time….and
this donor is the one. In four flushes this
cow has averaged 38.75 good embryos per
flush!!!! They will guarantee you at least
15 embryos with this flush, but be ready to
freeze more than that.
Considered by many to be one of the
best Cigar daughters walking, this donor’s
first two daughters have sold for an average
of $10,475! The first was BC Ms Reality
X02 Tw Pld that was voted as the Best
Consignment at the very first President &
Reality Sale. The second daughter HF D&D
Ms Reality Z4241 topped the open heifers
during the Hudspeth “The Gathering Sale”
selling to Crosstimber Cattle Co., Ed Brunson,
in Texas. Take a look at her udder in the
picture!
Before producing those two outstanding
heifers, this awesome donor had produced
four bull calves born; 9-1-06, 10-15-07,
11-9-08 and 11-1-09 all
with an average adjusted
weaning weight of 726
lbs. The guesswork is

The Proof, the Progeny & their Progeny! Without doubt, a great opportunity to flush one of the
“cash cows” of our breed. Ms Primetime 4307 has been one of the great producers of successful
show heifers and granddaughters. The first daughter that put her on the map was CCC Ellie Mae 301
P, after her successful show career she produced Big Creek CCC Mable 301Y that sold for a big dollar
to Jeht Statler in Nebraska, and went on to win many big shows. CCC Ellie Mae then produced three
E.T.’s in 2013 that sold for $7,750, $8,000 and $14,200 and we will be hearing more about their
show records soon. #4307 also produced CCC Gabrielle 902 that sold to JVS Charolais in Louisiana
and then Crutcher Honey Boo Boo 134Z that had an amazing string of show wins in 2013 and 2014.
J & A also had a Honey Boo Boo that was successful. Also many bull progeny have found homes with
numerous purebred breeders. #4307 has 21 progeny registered at AICA. The proof of her value just
keeps coming on.
JH Ms Primetime 4307 is due to calve the first of March and will be ready to flush about May 1st.
She has averaged nine embryos per flush.

CHOICE OF HERD
I can only tell you that “exciting” is the word that comes to mind when considering going into this herd to select the very best female you can
find! This program continues to make huge strides in producing functional, powerful, breed leading females and what an opportunity for a new or
established breeder to go into this herd and select just one.
There are over 300 head of females to sort through, so bring your lunch. You may select from ten donors that they have flushed, over 100
spring calving females, over 90 fall cow/calf pairs and the calf goes with the cow! And never forget the 31 fall yearling open and 37 spring 2014
show heifer prospects, there have been some great ones come out of these great ones.
This herd is anchored by one of the greatest Duke 914 donors of all times-VCR Miss Duchess 433 and also the fact that the great Baldridge
Sweetheart 7M and 444 finally got their due respect while residing at M & M Charolais! Most of these females will be calving or bred to the
following sires when you go to select your next donor; Ledger, Watt, Royce, Benelli, New Standard, Big Ben and Long Distance!

The Eaton family will allow two (2) great mature cows to be selected from over 1,500 females they have enrolled in the AICA Whole Herds
Rewards program. So that means, there are over 1,500 active mature cows to select from, no pedigree estimate females are included.
This choice of the herd has been actively bid on each and every year that the Eaton’s have offered this choice of the herd. We will offer the first
“choice of the herd” and then one more “choice of the herd” or the first winning bidder may double the bid and sweep the ring. Just think of it,
your choice from more than 1,500 brood cows! What an opportunity!
More than 632 cows rank in the top 25% of the breed for BW EPD, 891 cows rank in the top 25% for Milk EPD, 692 females rank in the top
25% for MEC EPD and 490 females rank in the top 25% for TM EPD. 94 Eaton sires are listed in the Spring 2014 AICA Sire Summary with Trait
Leaders for 8 Traits. These are awesome numbers to work with, but you need to go out into the vast pastures and find those eye-appealing brood
cows, with outstanding production records and those well-known ETN brands on their sides to select your next donor dam.
These selections will take some time, some effort, some patience, but never forget the opportunity for greatness that will come with one or two
of these tremendous brood cows.

Small but Mighty….Generations of Quality…..Time Tested Genetics! This herd has been around forever, since 1958 and it is small in size,
but mighty in quality and genetic power. David Hobbs can’t quit talking about the opportunity for someone to come into this herd and take out a
“golden goose.”
WCR Sir Mac 809 was and still is today a power maternal sire. You won’t find his name in many current pedigrees, but if you dig back a
ways you’ll see it pop up in some of the most successful cow families. Many of the females in this herd go back to a son of Mac 809 that Dan
Corman purchased from Peterson Farms out of a JWK Duke 914 dam. You will like what you see from this bloodline.
There are 19 fall calving cows to select from with calves at side by LT Long Distance, Cooley Royce, Grid Maker and Bluegrass. There are 23
females due to calve in the spring bred to LT Ledger, Long Distance, LT Easy Pro and Royce. In addition to those females there are 5 bred heifers

CHOICE OF HERD
In 2000 Oakwater Ranch began developing their cow herd from select individuals from top programs across the U.S., in 2002 with
grander goals in mind, they expanded their operation with a large purchase of females from the Eaton herd and acquired the entire Rocking
Arrow Ranch cow herd at Valentine, Nebraska to complete their foundation herd. To complement the blending of all these cattle they went on
an extensive search for herd sires which provided them with a herd sire battery from the elite programs of Wienk, Cobb, Hoodoo, Dubas, Raile
and Lindskov-Thiel.
Since that time, Oakwater Ranch has implemented an extensive trait and genetic based program while remaining a closed herd,
with its entire focus on providing a superior product designed to fit the needs of the commercial bull buyer! These traits are calving ease,
performance, disposition, structure, maternal and carcass traits. They strive to keep their customers profitable. So how successful have they
been in obtaining their goals? The answer is from the data this operation has collected from their annual bull sale of approximately 90 head
of yearling bulls, which ranks in the top tier of sales held each year. When comparing a summary of the data, Oakwater has reduced the
birth weight of their bulls by 9.3%, while maintaining their weaning and yearling weights above breed average. There has been a significant
increase in Ribeye Area and a 23% increase in intramuscular fat.
When you travel to Mansfield to evaluate the cowherd you will find a very functional group of cows that, although not pampered, are
productive, hard-working brood matrons that will add value to any cow herd and do it on the forage that the ranch provides. There will be
approximately 300 spring calving cows, 45 bred heifers and 100 spring 2014 heifer calves to select from. Oakwater Ranch will retain one
successful flush on the selected female and if she has a bull calf in the spring of 2015, a 1/3 semen interest in that bull.
Selection must be made by December 31, 2014.
Pictured are just some of the brood cows in that herd.

CHOICE OF 2014 HEIFER REPLACEMENTS
From the heart of the herd!
Producing front-end females has always been LindskovThiel’s key motivation. At this year’s National Charolais Sale,
you the buyer will have the opportunity to select the #1 heifer from their 2014
replacement group…nothing is being held back! This selection represents 34
years of breeding power. The winning bidder may select from approximately 80
heifer calves that are being retained by Lindskov-Thiel Ranch to be the future of
their herd.
Included in this pick will be daughters of some of the breed’s most noted
sires-LT Ledger, LT Long Distance, LT Sundance, LT Silver Distance, LT Stagecoach
and LT Rushmore. The last “choice of the heifers” from the LT herd was LT
Miss Brenda 0034, who sold in the 2010 National Sale for $16,000 to Wright
Charolais. Her second calf went on to be the high-seller in their 2014 sale at
$30,000.
They will provide access to the data and their foundation cow families like
the Brendas, Astas, Ballerinas, Carols, 7N’s and Praise. For over three decades,
these cow families have anchored their maternal power herd and their breed
leading bull sale. Take a trip to western South Dakota and anchor your herd with a pick from
their best!
Lindskov-Thiel Ranch requests that this selection be completed by
December 15, 2014.

Selling one-half interest and the option to double the bid and take 100%!
Drew Foglesong shocked the breed when he purchased the entire offering of over 700
Southern Cattle Company females that were going on the auction block in August 2014! He
now wishes to share one of these awesome donors with the breed.
Marion 0429 is quickly becoming “one of the great ones” in the breed, and just look at this
picture! Her EPD’s continue to climb as
proof of her power becomes evident. She
had her first natural born calf near her
second birthday on April 2, 2012 and she
went immediately into transplant. Her
first set of E.T.’s are impressive! Her first
set of sons sired by three different bulls
had an average adjusted 205 day weight
of 729.7 lbs., with not a one under 700
lbs!
Her sire is the breed leading M6
Grid Maker 104 who continues to sire
outstanding progeny throughout the
nation. Her dam is the great DA Ms
Marion 328 who sold in the 2007
National Sale in Louisville with her heifer
calf for $16,000. #328 is also a full
sister to the outstanding DA Passport
502! You won’t find many pedigrees
stacked up like this one.
Marion 0429 is due in December
to WC Capital Gain 2220, the
$14,000 one-half interest LT Ledger
son out of JWK Clarice J139 that
Southern Cattle Co. selected out of
the Wright Charolais Bull Sale in
2013. She will remain at home
during this sale and will be ready to go
into embryo production after calving.

Don’t have the time to wait for an outstanding open heifer to grow up and return you
a dividend? Sit down right here and look at this broody LT Ledger daughter that is due to
calve in January 2015 to WC Big Ben 9036 P.
This heifer is bred in the finest Lindskov-Thiel tradition. Her dam was purchased from
Lindskov-Thiel Ranch in fall 2007 as a weaned open heifer and has a great production record.
Following is the calving interval of the dam of this bred heifer. She was born in March 2007
and calved well before her second birthday on 1-3-09, 2-16-10,
1-14-11, 12-9-11 and 12-10-12. Those previous progeny had
an average adjusted weaning weight of 656 lbs. and an average
adjusted yearling weight of 1,275 lbs
Now just look at this Lindskov-Thiel pedigree built from their
famous Brenda cow family, but also includes the even more
famous dams of LT Bluegrass, LT Silver Yield and LT Ledger, wow.
What a set of herd sires represented in this pedigree tabulation;
LT Rio Bravo, Montana Silver, LT Silver Yield, LT Assertion, LT

It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a pair of heifers
create this much excitement and conversation. The comments
have been; “they’re really good”, “which one do you like
the best?”, “what a close pair, I don’t know which one I
like best”, “where are they selling at, I’ll be there?” So this
should be quite interesting!
Sired by the breed exciting Cooley Royce only adds to the
excitement over these two heifers. He is really putting the
right kind out there in the industry. The dam of these great
heifers is also stirring the pot. At twelve years of age, she
demanded a $11,250 selling price to Brian Ingram and Derry
Wright during the EJ Shepherd Dispersal in 2012. Her heifer
progeny at that sale were some of the most sought after,
averaging $3,300 on seven daughters
We’ll bring them in the ring together and sell choice and
then sell the other, unless some astute buyer makes the smart
move and ties them together.

She possesses the maternal elegance of her dam and the power and shape of her sire.
WDZ CC Katelyn 4012 is a power show prospect with the genetic merit to be
a donor female in the future.
Her dam CC Katelyn 8107 gathered numerous banners through her
Lot 20
show career, including the National Western Stock Show Junior Show
Grand Champion, two AIJCA Jr. National Division Championships and the
Minnesota State Fair Supreme Grand award, just to name a few. But more
importantly she has went on to produce progeny that have been sought after
by cattlemen across the country and have competed in the ring themselves.
One son, WDZ CC Kade was the 2012 AIJCA Jr. National Grand Champion
Bull and went on to be the Breeders Classic Grand Champion that fall. The
T07K cow family anchors this pedigree of proven genetic value.
The sire of this heifer, Diablo brings another Denver champion into the

mix and his progeny too have been a force in the ring, both show ring and
sale ring, in recent months. He is anchored by another maternal power cow

family with CML Wilma as his dam, also the dam of the National Reserve Champion CML Encore.

Blue Mountain topped the 2012 Lindskov-Thiel Bull Sale when he commanded $75,000 selling
to Wright Charolais, Southern Cattle Company, Eaton Charolais and Hebbert Charolais. His
overpowering ratios of 122 for both weaning and yearling weights drove the excitement. His sons
and daughters are overpowering for performance, yet with tremendous eye-appeal.
Now turn your attention to the dam of this great heifer calf. WC CCC Sweatheart 1140 is a
partnership female for Derry & Cody. She is a full sister to the WC CCC Full Metal Jacket in which
a 1/3 interest sold in the 2012 Wright Bull Sale for $15,000 after he was selected the 2011
Royal Breeders Classic Grand Champion and a month later the National Junior Bull Calf Champion

Cut, a one half interest and half possession $18,000! #1140 was born 2-2-11 and had her first calf on 1-613, a bull that she weaned off to a 762 lbs. adjusted weaning weight and then had this heifer on 2-16-14 and
then went into the embryo program.

This “luscious” yearling heifer is not only a show heifer, just coming off her Grand
Champion victory at the Maryland State Fair with over 40 head showing, but carries a
pedigree jam packed full of Charolais success and consistency! She is a daughter of WDZ

Lot 24
is Firemaker’s dam, why none other than the National Champion, $60,000 “Zsa Zsa” which
makes him a maternal brother to Fire Water.
The dam of this heifer is WDZ Luscious Lady 4008, one of LT Unlimited Ease’s stoutest daughters ever
and a very successful show heifer herself. She won either Grand or Reserve at New York, Maryland, Eastern
National, Keystone and Louisville. Luscious Lady 4008’s dam is a daughter of Guardian, the Canadian Agribition
Supreme Champion and U.S. National Reserve Grand. His maternal sister is the dam of SVY Freedom, the sire of
Worldwide, another National Champion. The Magic Doll great granddam of this heifer, was the foundation for the
famous Northern Exposure Sale and has made a big impact on several herds in the northern plains, including RMR
WDZ Luscious Lady
Cohiba, a National Calf Champion and now recognized as a potent source of marbling. She also had an International
influence, producing Mezquite Tarkan 35K, Grand Champion at the World Congress in Mexico in 2002.
Luscious Lady 4008 has produced 31 registered progeny, among them herd sires for Faraway Cattle Co. in North Carolina, Mountain Meadows in Vermont,
Double S in New York and for Rachel Hockenbery in Maryland. She has daughters who’ve proven to be foundation dams for Macy Meadows, Cliff Orley,
Faraway, Compton and Kathrein Charolais. This heifer is actually the third daughter of Luscious Lady 4008 to be sold in the National Sale! Pedigree heritage is
on your side with this heifer.

Only after a lot of arm twisting did we convince Rick Hale to let us have this heifer for
the National Sale.
She is a full sister to SCR Bronco 9026, the bull that Wild Indian Acres
and Lindskov-Thiel recently added to their herd sire battery. Bronco topped the
2010 Sonderup Charolais Ranch Bull Sale at $20,000. With three years of
progeny data backing up his numbers, Bronco has been siring in-demand sons
and daughters. Bronco sons were the high sellers at both the 2012 and 2013
Sonderup Charolais Ranch Annual Bull Sale selling for $8,000 and $14,500.
Another son was the high seller and Grand Champion Bull at the 2013 Nebraska
Cattleman’s Classic for $6,750. Groups of Bronco weaning age and bred heifers
have been sale features the past three years at the Annual Sonderup Fall Female
Sale. In 2011 weaning age daughters in that sale, sold for $4,100, $4,250 and
$4,250. In 2012, one weaning age daughter sold for $4,600 and in 2012 and
2013 bred heifer daughters sold for $4,100, $4,500, $3,500 and $4,100.
This pedigree combination is pretty much an outcross to many of the popular
bloodlines in the breed today, so just think what you can do flushing this female to your
herd sire.

The Wakefield family offers this outstanding genetic package that will interest all breeders. The
buyer will receive a pregnant recipient carrying a guaranteed heifer calf pregnancy sired by LT Ledger
0332 P and out of a full sister to the famous HF Mustang Sally 904 Pld. This heifer calf is due on
April 4, 2015.
The donor dam of this pregnancy is WF Mustang Suzie 166 Pld who is a full sister to one of the
most talked about females in the Charolais breed, as well as in the club calf industry, only Suzie is
two and half years younger.
Mustang Sally sold this past January in the Embryos on Snow Sale in Denver for $65,000 for ½
interest! She has had an enviable show career beginning in 2010 being named the Reserve Grand
Champion Heifer at the Canadian Agribition, Reserve Grand at the Junior National and Grand at the
2011 Denver Junior Show and Reserve Grand at the Denver ROE show.
But her genetic power really came into play when a Monopoly sired heifer was named the
Supreme Grand Champion Female at the 2013 Ohio State Fair, a steer out of her sold for $62,000
and another daughter sold for $47,750. Embryos out of her have sold for $3,750 each!
What could this heifer calf out of her be worth sired by the $105,000 LT Ledger?

Proceeds to benefit the American-International
Junior Charolais Foundation Raymond Hicks
Fund and Missouri Junior Scholarship.
Truly, a unique opportunity to obtain an original painting by noted livestock illustrator,
Galen Struve.
In 1993, the Missouri Charolais Breeders Association contacted Struve to create a painting
to commemorate the 25th National Charolais Show to be held in conjunction with the
American Royal Livestock Show.
This beautiful work depicts two breeders who worked diligently to build the American
Royal Charolais activities, Jerry Litton and Frank Wesson. Also included in the collage are
images of Sam 951, the first American Royal Champion Female, the Litton Trophy, the AICA
trademark globe along with other notables.
The original painting was auctioned before the
start of the 15th National Sale with Dick and Jeanne
Fanning, Thousand Oaks Charolais, Carthage,
Missouri, having the winning bid. This original and
prints (only 200) generated over $12,000 for the
Charolais Ambassador program.
As Dick and Jeanne have retired, they gave back
the original painting to benefit Charolais Juniors
not only in Missouri but nationwide. The painting
is professionally framed and ready to hang in your
office or front room.
The original painting pictured with
print #1 at the 25th National.
Dick Fanning was honored as the
42nd National Show Dedicatee.
For information contact Kaitlyn Lewis or David Hobbs at AICA.
