STUDENT CONNECT YOUR INFORMATION GUIDE TO STUDENT CONNECT. Excellence in Christian Higher Education since 1897 WELCOME TO STUDENT CONNECT WHAT IS STUDENT CONNECT? Student Connect is an online portal containing personal and course information that relates to you and your studies at Avondale. It allows you to be more directly involved in your academic program, to update personal information as necessary and to monitor your progress. How do I log on to Student Connect and change my password? 1. Go to the Avondale website, click on the ‘Students’ menu item at the very top of the screen and then click ‘Login to Student Connect’ (alternatively, type https://student.connect.avondale.edu.au into your browser address field and press ‘Enter’) 2. Enter your User ID number - your student number without the ‘s’ or ‘0’. (i.e. s054321 would be 54321) 3. Enter your password (your birth date in the form of MMDD) 4. Select ‘change password’ from the side menu 5. Enter your Student ID number (as in step 3) and old password 6. Enter your new password twice and then click ‘change password’ The fields on the screen will clear if there were no errors or warnings and your password will have been updated successfully. If you get an error message and you are not sure what it means, please call the Callista Support Team on ext. 246 or send an email to callista.support@avondale.edu.au. Please ensure that you change your password for security purposes. What internet browser can I use? If you are having trouble viewing Student Connect, check that you have the right browser requirements: Supported Web Browsers Compatible With: Windows Internet Explorer 9 Windows 7 only Internet Explorer 8 Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 Internet Explorer 7.0.X Windows XP and Windows Vista only Firefox 4.0 Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 Macintosh Safari 5.04 OS/X Firefox 4.0OS/X Browsers must also be JavaScript and CSS enabled with pop-up blockers turned off. WHAT CAN I CURRENTLY DO IN STUDENT CONNECT? Description Change Addresses View and update current mailing and emergency addresses and contact details Courses and Unit Detaills View your current course status View your previous and current unit enrolments and results View the credit that you have been given for prior learning (i.e. Advanced Standing) View details of your Majors and Minors (i.e. Unit Sets) View your progress and see what you need to do to complete your course Online Enrolment Complete online unit enrolment for each of your courses. (This feature is only available at certain times of the year) Enrolment Record View a report that advises you of the units you are currently enrolled in. ECAF Complete an online Commonwealth Assistance Form if you have been given a Commonwealth Supported Place (i.e. you are using HECSHELP, FEE-HELP or VETFEE-HELP) Exam Timetable View the time and location of exams Unit Results/Result History View most results as well as historical results for your course Electronic Payment Make a payment towards your fees ECAN Print off your electronic Commonwealth Assistance Notice Current / Historic Invoices View and print your current or historic invoices Graduation Invitation Accept your invite to the graduation ceremony and nominate seats required or indicate that you want to graduate inabsentia. Graduation Inquiry Inquiry about whether you are on the graduation list or not Change Password Change your Student Connect password here. WHAT CAN I DO ON STUDENT PORTAL? Description IT Password You can change your IT password Email Re-direct You can create a re-direct of your student email account to another nominated email account. Residence Application Returning students can apply for residence accommodation online.
