Matt Haigh – Planet-X Stealth Pro-Carbon
Matt Haigh – Planet-X Stealth Pro-Carbon Matt Haigh started time-trialling in the 2008 season using a road-bike, continued through 2009 non-aero and then built up this Planet-X for the 2010 season. The frame is vintage 2006 and is made of aluminium with carbon seat-stays and chain-stays. Purchased as a second-hand frame-set from Stephen Colbert (who now markets COLBERT Chinese made carbon frames and complete bikes) it was built up with Planet-X and Shimano parts mainly purchased from eBay. The mostly aluminium frame gives a harsh ride. The crank-set and gear-set are 6600 Ultegra standard double with Dura-Ace shifters. Wheels are Planet-X 82 / 101 deep-section, and new for 2011 is a disc-wheel. Badged as a Zipp the disc is actually a generic design thought to have been made for FastForward. Now on a 3rd set of bars, currently running with a HED Delta-Wing which is preferred to the previous Profile Design and ITM set-ups. This frame or one very similar was also marketed as a HED Aero Lab V01 (ERCC club members Paul Fairman and Ian Damant ride them) and also as a Dolan.
