Although it was officially named ‘Estadi del FC Barcelona’, the stadium came to be popularly known as the ‘Camp Nou’ (the new ground). TRAVEL INFORMATION How to get to the Camp Nou The Camp Nou is approximately 5km from the centre of Barcelona. Train/Metro From the main square (Plaça de Catalunya) in the centre of Barcelona, take the green Metro line L3 from Catalunya towards Zona Universitaria. Alight at Maria Cristina. From Maria Cristina it is a 15 minute walk towards the stadium. Should you wish to use a metro train, you will need to buy a ticket before boarding the train. TRANSPORT TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN MATCH TICKETS. Taxis Only take black and yellow coloured taxis with an official taxi sticker and number. Parking There is no designated car parking facility for away supporters. Away coaches wishing to park near the stadium can do so in the University grounds located on C/Menéndes Pelayo. If you wish to bring a coach to Camp Nou, this must be registered by close of business on Monday 7th March 2016 with the Club’s SLO, Mark Brindle. STADIUM ACCESS, INFORMATION & SECURITY The Camp Nou will open at 18:30hrs. Arsenal stewards will also be on hand to offer assistance and translation where possible. Supporters can enter the stadium with their ticket at Access 21, which will open at 18:30hrs, away fans are encouraged to only use Access 21 that is designated for away supporters only. Category 1 tickets are located in Access 10. Unreserved seating will operate in the away section, however, you will be directed to the block detailed on your match ticket. Private security will search all fans on arrival and only small bags are permitted, storage is not available for large bags Flags and banners are permitted but must be restricted to one square metre in size; however any flag or banner displaying anything which can be construed as racist, defamatory, homophobic or political will be confiscated. Flags and banners will be permitted at steward’s discretion. Flagpoles and sticks are not permitted. The following items are banned in the stadium and will be confiscated: Megaphones and drums Fireworks and flares Drinks, bottles, cans and glasses Knives, belts, chains or any objects which can be thrown or used as a weapon Supporters are expected to be held back after the final whistle for a maximum of 30 minutes.
