Pretend to do what you hear. Or pause the audio after each sentence and quickly draw a picture to show what you hear or say what it means. (en = in, on) Pon la ropa en la maleta. (Put the clothes in the suitcase.) Pon la identificación en el bolso. (Put the identification in the purse.) Pon el pasaporte en el bolso. (Put the passport in the purse.) Pon el boleto en el bolsillo. (Put the ticket in the pocket.) Pon el dinero en el bolsillo. (Put the money in the pocket.) Sal en el avión. (Leave in the airplane.) Sal en el autobús. (Leave on the bus.) Haz la maleta. (Pack the suitcase.) Haz la mochila. (Pack the backpack.) • Now listen to the vocabulary words you hear. Say them in English or lay out your flashcards and point to each one as you hear it. • Now listen to some words in English. See if you can say them in Spanish. • Now listen to some words in Spanish. Write them in Spanish and then check your spelling. See if you spelled them correctly.
