moting our member businesses and the Halloween Wayne Farmers Market as well
as doing volunteer work for the event itself. The Halloween Wayne Farmers Market
on October 29th was a big hit with pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, and a costume contest. It was great fun for the whole family!

The First Congregational Church of Wayne is
hosting their 68th annual Christmas Fair, “Magical
Christmas” to be held Thursday and Friday, November 6th and 7th at the historical church in
Wayne. The hours are 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Delicious á la carte lunches are served from 11:00
a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and dinners from 5:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. (Turkey dinners with all the trimmings are
the highlight of the event. Cost is $9.00 for adults and
$4.00 for children.) Shops are open all day and include a Country Store, Attic Treasurers, Boutique,
Christmas Shop, Used Book Store, Hand Made
Goods, Coffee Shop, Specialties Shop and a Home
Made Candy Booth. Shoppers will find beautiful
Christmas decorations, canned fruits and vegetables,
delicious candies of all kinds and Christmas gifts galore. Plan to come and shop, visit friends, have lunch
and dinner and enjoy an old fashion, friendly church
fair. We are located at 2 Towne Square on Wayne Rd.
between Michigan Avenue East and West.
Parking is on the west side of the church. Elevators
are available.
On Friday, November 7, 5:00--7:00 PM, St. John's
Lutheran Church and School (a member of the
Wayne Chamber of Commerce) is hosting a Turkey Dinner prepared and served by the St. John's
Ladies Aid Society. It is held in the school gymnasium off the North-eastern corner of the church parking
lot located at 35320 Glenwood Road, Westland. Additional parking is available at Uht Funeral Home next
door. The dinner is funded by visitors' generous free
will offerings in the baskets on the tables. Turkey and
all the fixings along with home made pies are served
buffet style. A bake sale will also be available for suggested donations. The proceeds are used by the Ladies
Aid to fund their many projects in support of the Gospel ministry. Everyone is welcome.

6:30 Tuesday, November 18, The Holidays at Hudson's. Michael Hauser will be presenting an interesting history of downtown Hudson's during the holiday
season. He will be bringing many memorabilia items
and pictures for you to enjoy. Michael is a wealth of
information. The free program is sponsored by the
Friends of the Wayne Public Library. To be assured

Saturday, December 20th at 2:00 p.m. Teen Holiday
Craft event. Come and enjoy making a craft to keep
or to give as a gift. Please call the library to register

The First Congregational Church will present a
Christmas concert
on December 7, 2014 at 4:00 pm.
The holiday music will be performed by the organists
of the First Congregational Church of Wayne, First
United Methodist Church of Wayne and St. Mary's
Catholic Church of Wayne. This will be a wonderful
way for the community to kick off the holiday season.
All are welcome to attend and be a part of
this joyous program. The church is located at 2 Towne
