2015 Parish Fair
The Parish Fair will be held on September 4th, 5th & 6th in conjunction with the Feast
of the Three Saints. This is a great opportunity for parishioners to work together as a
community.
We are looking for CLEAN electrical items in working condition & the
following items in good condition & clean:
Clean Stuffed Animals
Jewelry
Crafts
Gifts
Empty Jewelry boxes
Pocketbooks
Unopened Cologne & Cosmetics
Toys and Dolls
White Elephant Items
Wine & Liquor for the Raffles
Books & Religious Articles
New items will also be accepted
We will not accept luggage of any kind, Christmas trees, used computers,
computers parts, clothing, encyclopedias & typewriters.
The Parish Center will be open from 6-8 pm on the following Monday evenings:
August 10th & 17th
August 17th will be the last opportunity to drop off any of the above mentioned items.
We are looking for NEW BIG Baskets for the raffle table.
Please do not bring your donations to the Rectory.

EUCHARIST ADORATION
You are invited to join in our weekly Eucharist Adoration.
Every Friday the lower church is open from 9 a.m. through 7
p.m. Please give a half hour or hour of your time to come in
and pray for your special intentions and those of our parish.
Pot of Gold Tickets: Please bring/send
tickets stubs to the rectory or put in the collection
basket on Sundays as soon as possible. Remember
to clearly mark the envelopes Pot of Gold tickets.

This weekend is our monthly food collection for our
neighbors in need. Please bring your
nonperishable food to Mass this weekend or to
the Rectory during the week. Currently Our
Food Pantry is in desperate need of the
following items: macaroni & cheese, rice, beans,
crackers, beef stew, powder milk, peanut butter, jelly,
canned fruit, soup & meat. Our council would also ask that
any donations of food NOT BE OPEN, NOR OUTDATED,
and please NO DENTED CANS.

THIS WEEKEND: SENHOR SANTO CRISTO FEAST
Sponsored by the Portuguese community, the proceeds
from the feast benefit Corpus Christi Parish! All are
welcome to participate in the feast: food, music, Mass,
procession etc. All are most welcome to the religious and
social celebrations this weekend. See the schedule in the
bulletin.
SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION-August 15th
This is NOT a holy day of obligation this year because it
falls on a Saturday. The 12:05pm Mass will be that of the
Assumption. The 4:00pm Mass will be the vigil Mass for
the Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time.
PARISH FAIR - HELP!
The annual parish fair held in the parish center during
the Labor Day weekend-Feast of the Three Saints, is a
tremendous source of income for Corpus Christi Parish.
We need your donated goods brought to the parish
center Monday evenings through August 17th [see larger
notice], as well as your participation in the fair itself and
above all, your help as a volunteer for two hours or
longer. If you did not receive parish raffle tickets and a
volunteer sign-up sheet in the mail, you can contact the
office, leaving your name and number if you can be a
volunteer at the fair [feel free to bring a friend-volunteer].

LATIN MASS:
The Tridentine Mass [extraordinary form] will be
celebrated by Fr. Armano next Saturday, August 15th at
6pm in the upper chruch. All are welcome. For point of
information, the Solemnity of the Assumption is NOT a
holy day of obligation this year.

RELIGIOU’S EDUCATION PROGRAM
Registration for the fall begins in mid-August. Classes
begin in late September and continue through April each
year. For further information call Mary Crow, Director of

DEVOTIONAL BRACELETS
The Saint Rita's Sodality is selling devotional bracelets to honor
St. Rita. These beautifully designed bracelets can be worn “as
is” or charms can be added as well. The cost is $20.00 per
bracelet. Please see or call Mary Lou Nichols for purchasing
(978-685-7164). Thank you to Lori Sousa for presenting this
idea and for spearheading this project to honor our beloved St.
Rita.

PATRONAGE
Volunteers, donations and patronage will make for a
successful Parish Fair on September 4, 5 and 6th. If we
are lacking in any of these areas, we will feel the pinch.
Even if you have never volunteered before, we hope you
sign up to help or let it be known that we can count on
you.
Can you help with the preliminary mainly emptying out
boxes of merchandise to be sold and displayed on tables?
Can you offer some time at the Parish Fair taking charge
of selling the merchandise?

CHILDREN’S
CORNER
is
looking
for
FACEPAINTERS. Also your generosity will be welcomed in
the following categories:
CANDY (chocolate bars, chewing gum, lollipops, wrapped candy,
etc.)
CHILDREN’S EDUCATIONAL AND FUN THINGS TO DO
(reading books, board games, miniature cars, coloring books, crayons,
kites, dolls, bubbles, school supplies, etc.
These things can be dropped off at the Parish Center on the
designated times outlined in the bulletin.
Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church has been
and continues to be the welcoming, spiritual home for so
many generations and we want to keep it spiritually and
structurally sound by enthusiastic ministries which are
achievable with more participation.

ALL LADIES ARE WELCOMED TO ATTEND a RETREAT sponsored
by the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and the St. Rita Sodality at
the SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA in Holliston, MA on
TH
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 .
We will celebrate Mass at 11:00 A.M. followed by a
presentation by one of their priests approximately 12:30 –
1:00 P.M. and at 3:00 P.M. we will pray the Rosary and
Benediction.
We request that you bring your own lunch.
You will have an opportunity to prayerfully capture quiet time
and enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings.
We will leave Rite Way Travel, Methuen, MA by bus at
9:00A.M. and return to Rite Way Travel at around 6:00 P.M.
