MilCAM TargetIR marks a new
standard for handheld long-range
thermal observation systems.
Combining state-of-the-art thermal
and laser technologies in one
lightweight package, the MilCAM
TargetIR binocular imager
provides a powerful tactical
advantage day or night and in
both field and urban environments.
RUGGED & WELL EQUIPPED
TargetIR is MIL-STD-810-certified
and incorporates a thirdgeneration 320x240 InSb FPA
thermal imager with a 30-5000 m
eye-safe laser rangefinder, a
digital orientation module (azimuth
and elevation), and an integrated
global positioning system (GPS).
SUPERB STANDOFF RANGE
TargetIR’s long-range capability
equips ground personnel to zero in
on targets completely undetected.
Its powerful dual field-of-view
optic recognizes man-sized targets
at 1.9 kilometers, with detection at
ranges up to 4 kilometers. Vehiclesized targets are recognized at
3.6 kilometers, with detection at
up to 9 kilometers.
MULTI-MISSION FLEXIBILITY
TargetIR greatly enhances
observation and target acquisition
capabilities, making it ideal for a
variety of applications and
environments, including infantry
units, special forces, forward
observers, reconnaissance patrols
and peace-keeping forces.
SIMPLE TO OPERATE
Intuitive and easy to use, TargetIR
is operated by user-friendly menus
and controls. Its 55-72 mm
binocular eyepiece is adjustable to
meet user and mission demands
and includes a high-resolution
800x600 micro-LCD display. For
better situational analysis, all
image information is overlaid on
one display.
TargetIR operates for four hours on
two "D"-sized Lithium or Li-Ion
batteries, or externally via a12 V32 V power supply.
