Plus, of course, cake from Mike Goldenberg. Thank you, Richard Lutz, Kevin Pyett and Heidi Frank for getting all this ready for us. I don’t like to rehash everything that was said, but the gist of the meeting was: We said good-bye to Margaret Keegan, our campers’ secretary for many years, who is leaving the park. She was the one that kept notes and took minutes at our biannual meetings. Her camping spot will be taken over by a new family. We welcome, Christina and Scott Hill and their son, Brandon, to our little group. We wish you many years of “Happy Camping”, lots of sunshine and we hope you find us good company. Ute, our outgoing chairperson, informed everyone that smoke alarms are mandatory. Then came election time. Out with the old, in with the new. As a previous campers’ board member, I know, we can’t keep everyone happy all the time, but we will try our best to keep most of us happy most of the time. Our park manager, Kevin, introduced us to our new waterfiltration system. He opened up the well cover and we all got a glimpse of this state of the art contraption. Very impressive! Great job, Kevin! The water is now drinkable and is tested every day. A thank you to all who worked very hard to install the waterline to bring the same water to the Hunter and Fischer hut. Needles to say, if your water is connected to your RV, please shut off your tap at the source, when leaving, to avoid possible leaking or rupturing beyond that point. The filters and the bulb used to clean our water all cost money and have to be replaced at times. Also, during our discussion, it was mentioned, the outside walls of our washrooms need painting. It was Scott Hill, the new camper, who came forward to offer his time to do the job. He is experienced and will also get good quality Aus unserem To the Members of the Fisher & Hunters from Acting Chairperson Jim Cassidy Fischer & Jäger It was an honour when Gary Albrecht asked me to step in as chairperson while he took a temporary leave of absence. A few of us went up to the cottage on Saturday to assess how things had faired over the winter. No major problems i.e., water damage or leaking pipes were found. We determined that we have to replace the water heater and a few of the old fridges. Paul Parzen donated an almost new water heater for $60.00. He will be installing it when we are at the cottage for the cleanup weekend. On the spring cleanup weekend we will be cleaning the beach area, the boathouse and the inside of the cottage. Regarding the boathouse: The boathouse has been cleaned out and any personal belongings should be picked up, please call Chris Parzen if you have any questions. They have been set aside for you and you must remove them before the second week in June, otherwise, these items will become the property of the Fisher & Hunters Club and we will do with them as we see fit, i.e., motors, life jackets and fishing equipment. Thank you Jim Cassidy MERCEDES - BMW - VOLKSWAGEN - PORSCHE SALES & SERVICE Acting Chairperson Hello all and welcome to June First a word from above, the cottage is in great shape and ready to go.
