That's why we create more than just light. The sun is the source of life. Its influence, however, extends far beyond instilling life. Its light affects well-being, moods and health – it makes us happy and gives us unforgettable moments. Its influence on people is immeasurable. These positive effects of natural light serve as a benchmark for us in everything we do. And thanks to the latest technology and intelligent lighting solutions, we are now able to create artificial light that does more than just illuminate an area. We produce light that brings everything within the realm of possibility and which makes the fascinating effect of natural light more accessible than ever before. 08ı09 A good design is subtle and yet unforgettable. Just like the light that just beauty, i.e. timelessness, aesthetics, is designed with this principle in mind. they create. or perfection, it must interact with its surroundings. 10ı11 The effect that light has on people is indescribably tremendous. Light colour and intensity affect our wellbeing and our ability to concentrate. Nowadays, we are able to enhance this effect more than ever before. Innovations in medical technology allow for delivering lighting that is ideal for people in every setting and situation. For medical applications our engineers did not limit themselves to just supplying ideal light, however. Our idea to integrate all relevant supply elements for patient care into one system led to the first For medical applications, our developers had a unique idea: thousand ideas in one. Medical Supply Unit (MSU) in the world in 1962. Today, MSUs are much more sophisticated, ergonomical and thought-out. The underlying idea still has remained the same over the years: thousand ideas in one. And that also applies to the fact that TRILUX is still several steps ahead of the competition in this segment. 12ı13 Good architecture follows a vision. Like good light, which provides far more than just illumination, architecture is much more than rooms to live in. Architecture can inspire and astonish. Architecture forms the framework of work and life. And architecture must fulfil important tasks, especially in medical applications – where utility is of utmost importance. Whether patient rooms, intensive care units or operating theatres, architecture is nothing, if it is not presented in the right light. The Charité in Berlin, MD Anderson Clinic in Madrid and Prince Sultan Airbase Hospital Al Kharj are only three examples of high-functioning hospitals that form a perfect symbiosis of aesthetics and utility thanks to TRILUX Medical Systems. TRILUX light follows good architecture. 14ı15 Good light is essential. Even vital in some areas. The right light can even make people healthy by creating the ideal visual conditions for a doctor, or by supporting a TRILUX MSU does not only deliver light, but also all the necessary TRILUX Medical Systems has a patient's recovery – with perfect light atmosphere, or just by making sure that patients and hospital staff media with connections for electricity, medical gases, nurse call the ideal solution for wherever feel good. As the inventor of the Medical Supply Unit (MSU) TRILUX is well aware of patients' needs and thus systems and data transfer – everything from a single location. Even there is a need for light in a makes everything that is essential and vital to a patient's health available right at their bed. After all, outside of a hospital room, TRILUX creates the perfect conditions. hospital. 16ı17 XXıXX 18ı19 Vertical supply systems from TRILUX Complex medical supply systems that resemble neither medical applications nor technology. The demands placed on hospital rooms have changed drastically over the past few years: Patients now attach more and more importance to having a homelike ambience; the trend ranges from hospitals through to health hotels – where patients expect both appropriate health care elements and comfort. Vertical supply systems from TRILUX satisfy these expectations while offering a high degree of design freedom at the same time: from selection of furnishings based on modular design through to colour scheme of surfaces – as a result, supply systems are technically fulfilled with the prominence of an elegant design. And in case of an emergency everything is always easily within reach without any complications. The result: A perfect functioning hospital room that does not remind you of a hospital. And: Patients, who feel good in their environment – and thus do not feel so much like patients. 20ı21 TRILUX BS 400 product family Suited for a homelike ambience with perfect technical configuration. The BS 400 vertical supply system transforms every hospital room into a cosy room. On the one hand, there is the variable type of arrangement: to the left or right of the bed or between two beds – either way it is possible to separate beds from one another and create alcoves. On the other hand, they are perfectly suited due the extensive array of accessories both for health care and for complex set-ups with medical devices in intensive care. For instance, the BS 700 light channel, which can be installed over the supply system and across the entire width of the wall, offers a subtle and inconspicuous lighting solution. And finally the selection of surface design: Options are either a wood decor facing or a single-coloured front – both create an atmosphere that if anything it is more reminiscent of a living room than a hospital room. Not only aesthetically, but also practically convincing: Thanks to the superstructure, it is simple to install the incoming services on site and to supply the BS 400 from above. Luminaires may also be integrated into the superstructure without much effort. Both eliminate costly measures for opening up the walls in case of refurbishment. 22ı23 BS 400 Product characteristics • The wall panels, which are made of • The side sections are covered with a extruded aluminium side sections, naturalmedium-density fibre board with high coloured anodised, accommodate all pressure laminate coating, aligned at fixtures and low-voltage, extra low-voltage the front, in wood-like finish or singleand communications lines necessary for coloured surface. hospital beds; outlets for medical gas supply accessible on the front. TRILUX's horizontal supply systems offer a simple, elegant and rational solution with many possible equipment options and diverse colour combinations. Although technology is visually suppressed, the services are always within reach for health care personnel during the daily routine. Major advantage: Depending on the system it is possible to move the luminaire body or implement a homogeneous continuous-line from wall to wall. 32ı33 TRILUX BS 800 For a purist design with fully-fledged medical care. The TRILUX BS 800 offers a fully-fledged medical supply system with discreet impression and an extremely substantial degree of design freedom – visual configuration. The base channel forms the basis for integrating different technical elements and all lighting elements: For reading and area lighting there are four different luminaire bodies of an elegant, futuristic design available to choose from. There are also the basic versions, in which all lighting components are already integrated in the base channel. All models include an optional dimmable LED night light. The "London" model offers a special feature with seven Power LEDs for reading and examination lighting. In addition to that, it is not only exceptional in terms of design, but it is also exceptionally low-maintenance and reliable. Or the "Berlin" model, which may be operated with lower wattage lamps without compromising light quality in any way. This also helps to reduce energy costs considerably. All other models are designed just as well in terms of optics and technology: The ability to manually position and replace luminaire bodies allows health care personnel to vary the position of beds and/or configuration. It goes to show: The BS 800 ensures maximum flexibility for hospital rooms as a whole. 34ı35 BS 800 Product characteristics s Base channel for accommodating any media required at the patient's bed like low-voltage sockets, nurse call systems or visual call systems, data transfer components and medical gases. s Base channel combined with four stylistically different luminaire bodies that can be interchanged: "London", "Berlin", "Rome" and "Vienna", basic version also available with lighting components integrated in the base channel. Wall-mounted systems are ideal whenever equipment has to be readily available and ergonomic for health care personnel – and appearance is a secondary consideration. A wide variety of design options are made possible due to the separation of equipment and lighting components, whereas the media board and the bedside reading luminaire may be positioned as desired. 48ı49 TRILUX VS 300 media board For media supply that blends perfectly in terms of look. The holistic interior design always takes centre stage with the VS 300 media board. After all, the system seems to melt into the background with the flush integration of the media supply. The VS 300 may be positioned either horizontally or vertically between two beds – the architect has free rein to be creative with layout. Colour and wood-like look are also design elements, thus it is possible to match the wall colour or surrounding wood finish by means of painting. The VS 300 is not only extremely aesthetic, but also compatible with good hygiene: It has no seams whatsoever and can be mounted without any joints. 50ı51 VS 300 Product characteristics • The configuration of front module plates is variable: These accommodate the elements for low-voltage, extra low-voltage and gas outlets as well as biomedical instruments separately for electrical and gas areas.
