Thursday Notes
March 26, 2015
All are invited to join us for the 8:00 a.m. Parish Liturgy next Wednesday, April 1st. Please keep
in mind that all students in grades Preschool through 8th should be in attendance.
You are also cordially invited to pray the Stations of the Cross with us tomorrow beginning at
2:15 p.m.
The Natural Family Planning Ministry of the Family Ministries Office of the Archdiocese of
Chicago are sponsoring a Mother-Daughter Tea Program for 10-12 year old girls and their
mothers. This program will be offered on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Catholic Charities,
St. Vincent Hall, Chicago, Illinois. Further information is included in today’s folder.
As you know the 2015-2016 “Registration Form” (Application for Re-Enrollment) along with
the $125.00 registration fee is due by next Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Please note that this is
your last opportunity to take advantage of the “no tuition increase” if registered by this date.
This is also your last opportunity to participate in our 2015-2016 Tuition Raffle sponsored by our
School Patron, Ms. Leigh-Anne Kazma. Raffle tickets are available in the school office for
1/$50.00 or 2/$80.00. The grand prize winner selected 1st will be the recipient of a full year
tuition credit for the 2015-2016 school year. Second place prize will be a half year tuition credit
for the 2015-2016 school year. Please don’t pass up this wonderful opportunity!
Great news! We have added the option to pay for Registration, Book Fees, and the Tuition Raffle
Online. Please click on the blue “Pay Here” link on our school’s homepage and follow the
instructions on the page. If you need assistance, please contact Ms. Marta Janur or the School
office.
Thank you to all our school families for participating in our March special lunch day. Thanks
also to Dino’s Italian Restaurant for preparing our cheese pizza-a Lenten favorite. Dino’s has
been a great school supporter for many decades. Please help us show our appreciation by
choosing them whenever possible. Our lunches would not be possible without the monthly
service and generosity of these kind families and faculty members: Cione, Craig, Drozd, Faber,
Gorecki, Kasprzyk, Lowder, Novak-Erpelo, Novello-Sawicki, Michals, Mikrut, Mulac, Pavlik,
Rzepka, Sanchez, Santaliz, Shaheen, Sumugat, Swierczek, Rivera-Teuerle, VanAllman, and
Wilson. Thank you so much for your continued support. This lunch made a profit of $500.00
which will benefit the school. Our next special lunch featuring Duff’s hotdogs and fries will be
served on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Our Student Council will be hosting an Out of Uniform Day next Thursday, April 2nd for Autism
Awareness Day, “Light It Up Blue”. Please refer to information included in today’s folder.
Please note that we will be taking an All School Field Trip on Thursday, April 30, 2015 to see
“The Monkey Kingdom”. Please find information, along with the permission slip in the
Thursday Folder. If you haven’t already returned this information, please do so no later than
tomorrow, March 27th.
Please make sure to send in your Campbell’s Labels for Education. We are in the final months of
our contest as to which classroom will be the recipient of this year’s pizza party. All labels need
to be returned no later than Thursday, April 30, 2015. Labels earn points which are exchanged
for items needed in our classrooms. I would like to thank our chairperson, Mrs. Kelly Mikrut and
all who contribute to this program.
You may also submit any “Box Tops” for the “Box Tops for Education Program” through
Thursday, April 30, 2015. This program earns cash for our school. The class bringing in the most
Box Tops will be treated to an ice cream party. We are also grateful to Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Rosol,
and Ms. Marta Janur for managing this program for our school.
Make sure to join us for the final movie night of the school year this Saturday, March 28th. Doors
to Borowczyk Hall will open at 5:30 p.m. with our Movie Presentation
(Night at the Museum 3) beginning at 6:00 p.m. Dinner options will be available for purchase.
Please keep in mind that all children are to be accompanied by an adult.
Finally, please be advised that I have included the April calendar in today’s folder for your
convenience.
Have a pleasant weekend.
Sincerely,
Eva M. Panczyk

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOK FEE DESCRIBED BELOW IS ALSO DUE BY

Family Name:

I (We), the undersigned parent(s)/guardian(s), agree to financially support St. Constance
School in accordance with the following requirements:
1) Student fees and tuition are shown below and reflect the 2014-2015 school year rates.
To take advantage of these rates, you must register for the 2015-2016 school year

demonstrate their commitment to their Catholic faith by regularly attending
weekly liturgy, volunteer time or service in a parish or school ministry and
provide regular financial support to the parish and school. If it is deemed
necessary, you will be asked to meet with the pastor and/or school board in
regard to your status as an active parishioner.

b) Active Non-Parishioners tuition is the same as (a) above plus $550 per
child when you register by April 1, 2015 (i.e., one child = $5,950.00; two
children = $9,360.00; three children = $12,770.00). All other fees are the same
as above (registration and supply/book fee). If registration is received after
April 1, the $550 per child becomes $650 per child.
Active Non-Parishioners are Catholics who belong to a parish other than
St. Constance or non-Catholics, either of whom are active at St. Constance
Parish by demonstrating, at a minimum, their participation in the life of
St. Constance Parish by regularly attending weekly liturgy, volunteer time or
service in a parish or school ministry and provide regular financial support to
the parish and school.
c) Non-active parishioners and non-parishioners tuition is $6,735.00 per
child, when registration is received by April 1. All other fees are the same as
above. When registering after April 1, the tuition will be $6,835.00 per child.
2) Fundraising fee: There is no separate fundraising fee to be paid. Each family will get 3
school lottery tickets, which will automatically enter you in 40 weekly drawings. Each
week, a $100 cash prize will be drawn. Winners will be contacted by the school office and
the winning name will be posted in the church bulletin. In addition, there will be two
$1,000 cash prize drawings, one at the beginning of the school year and one at the end of
the school year!
If you wish to sell additional tickets to family or friends to be entered in the 40 weekly and
two $1,000 prize drawings, tickets are $50 each - please see “Lottery Form #2, attached.
Any school family that sells 3 additional lottery tickets will receive one additional entry
into all of the drawings for the year. Additional tickets sold must be returned to the office
by the first week of school in August, along with the “Lottery Form #2” and $50 per ticket.
In order to keep tuition rates as low as possible and the parish subsidy within Archdiocesan
guidelines, the school board must develop fundraising events to make up the difference
between what you pay for tuition and the actual cost of your child’s education. Therefore,
families must do what they can to participate in the fundraising activities of the school.
In addition, there are also examples of activities to participate in without spending
anything: 1) Recruit new students by sharing your positive St. Constance School
experiences with others. For 2015-2016, a $250 tuition discount will be applied for families
referring a new family to SCS. 2) Enroll for a Target “Red Card” debit card and earn 5%
off all purchases, and in addition the school receives a percentage from Target as well.
3) Clip Box Tops for Education for the school. The class with the most Box Tops also
enjoys a pizza party at the end of the year. Campbell’s soup labels are also collected to
earn money to buy school supplies. If everyone participates, the rewards to the school add
up quickly! It all comes together if we all work together towards the same goal!
3) Service Hour Program –Each school family is required to work fifteen (15) volunteer
hours to the school between May 1, 2015 and April 30, 2016. You will be informed
through school correspondence of the many volunteer opportunities available. Each time
you work service hours you will be given a coupon. It is your responsibility to be aware of
volunteer opportunities and to keep track of your service coupons. If you have been unable
to work the required fifteen (15) hours, a $350.00 fee will be assessed to your account on
May 1, 2016. No partial hours will be accepted. Fifteen (15) volunteer hours must be
worked to avoid paying the $350.00 fee.
4) Parish Support – As members of the faith community of St. Constance, we are
responsible for the financial support of the parish. We encourage each school family to
support our parish through weekly contributions at church as well as through participation
at the many liturgical and social functions which the parish sponsors throughout the year. If
it is deemed necessary, you will be asked to meet with the pastor/and or school board in
regard to your status as an active parishioner.
5) School Board, Home and School Association and Sports Association – The
St. Constance School Board, Home and School Association and Sports Association will
sponsor a variety of fun events throughout the school year. Your participation in and
support of these events is important. The money raised by these organizations is used to
improve our school and enhance the programs offered here.
6) Raffle for free tuition - As a reminder, our Big Shoulders Program Patron,
Ms. Leigh-Anne Kazma of the Kazma Family Foundation, has generously donated the 2
prizes for our first tuition raffle. One raffle ticket for $50 or 2 tickets for $80 will qualify
you for a chance to win one (1) full year tuition credit for the 2015/2016 school year (1)
half year tuition credit for the 2015/2016 school year. The grand prize winner will be
drawn first. Tickets are available at the school office until 8:00 a.m. on April 1, 2015. The
drawing will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the school lobby. All
are welcome.
Thank you for choosing St. Constance School.
Sincerely,
Eva M. Panczyk and the St. Constance School Board
