HAZEMAG can supply the most suitable impactor for
practically every primary crushing application. Our singleand double-rotor impactors process large feed sizes at high
throughput rates at optimum degrees of crushing efficiency.
A continuous equipment development programme ensures
minimum wear, maximum availability, very low maintenance requirements and extreme flexibility with regard to
establishment of machine and product parameters.

HAZEMAG Hard Rock Impactors have been specially
developed to crush abrasive materials. In order to minimise
wear costs, particular emphasis has been placed on the
use of highly wear-resistant materials and ease of replacing
wear parts.

RUBBLE RECYCLING
EQUIPMENT
HAZEMAG recognised many years ago the need for
equipment specifically designed for the processing of rubble
and similar materials, and developed the appropriate
impactors based on their well-proven non-metallic minerals
processing equipment. Meanwhile, the 3rd generation of
rubble recycling impactors is now in service, this latest
design being characterised by the hydraulically-actuated
impact apron mounting and adjustment, together with its
electronic control system. This concept improves
considerably the flexibility of the impactor adjustment, at
the same time minimising the hazard of blockages and

damage caused by tramp metal.
HAZEMAG’s experience in the construction of recycling
plants is reflected in the wide range of designs available.
Such plants naturally include pre-separation, classifying and
product refinement facilities. Stationary, semi-mobile and
mobile (wheel- or crawler-mounted) plants are supplied on
this basis according to the specific requirement. Whatever
the design, great importance is placed on ease of operation
and maintenance as well as maximum availability.

HAZEMAG NOVOROTOR Hammer Mill Type II
2000/2500 for drying/grinding and calcination
of gypsum at a plant in Shanghai/China
HAZEMAG UNIROTOR (single-rotor)
and NOVOTOR (double-rotor) hammer mills
are used for fine grinding and drying & grinding of raw
materials and recycled materials.
They are characterised in particular by the versatility of
their design, which permits optimum adaptation to the
specific application. They can be converted quite easily
without any problems to meet possible changes in process requirements. Plants are designed to include screens
or classifiers, etc. according to process demands.
HAMMER-
MILLS
Wear parts, such as grinding paths, grates and hammers
are well accessible and easy to change/replace.
In the UNIROTOR hammer mill, the direction of rotation
of the rotor is reversible, ensuring optimum utilisation of
the hammers without the requirement to turn them when
one face is worn. HAZEMAG hammer mills are eminently
suited to the combined drying & grinding of various
materials. In this process, hot gases are passed through the
hammer mill simultaneously with the comminution of the
material. Thanks to the large surface area created by the
crushing process, a very high evaporation rate is achieved,
the combination of the two processes at the same time
minimising the space required for the equipment. In order
to optimise the plant design – particularly in the case of
new processes – we recommend prior testing of customers‘
material in our modern, comprehensively equipped test
facilities.

PROCESS
ENGINEERING SUPREME
HAZEMAG Rapid Dryers fitted with agitator shafts are
used as short-residence dryers for granular, plastic or
sludge-type materials (various kinds of filter cake).
Operating according to the parallel flow principle, wet
material and hot gases pass through the dryer in the
same direction, during which time the agitator paddles
swirl the wet material around to attain a large material
surface area, resulting in an intensive but at the same
time thermally favourable drying effect by the hot gases.
The air sealing system is provided by HAZEMAG
pendulum flap gates or rotary gate valves. In most cases,
because of the wide differences in the characteristics of
the feed material, optimum plant design is preceded by
exhaustive tests carried out on customers‘ material in
HAZEMAG’s state of the art test facilities.
DRYERS
RAPID DRYERS
CRUSHER/DRYERS
HAZEMAG Crusher/Dryers combine the drying process
with the very effective impact crushing process. The crushing
operation creates the much larger material surface area
to provide the conditions for an optimum exchange of
heat between hot gases and
feed material. There are two
designs of machine – single- and
double-rotor versions. The air sealing
system is provided by HAZEMAG
pendulum flap gates or
rotary gate valves.

COMPONENTS
HAZEMAG gate valves are used as feed or
discharge units and as process air sealing systems.
They are characterised by a high degree of
operational safety, robustness and ease of
maintenance.
HAZEMAG Pendulum Flap Gates are supplied
as double- or triple-pendulum gates with either
mechanical or hydraulic actuation systems.
HAZEMAG Rotary Gate Valves are designed
with inlet and outlet tangentially offset vis à vis
the rotary vane. For particularly coarse material, a
special design of valve with retracting shield is available.
HAZEMAG feed and discharge units play a vital role in
HAZEMAG process engineering.
HAZEMAG Apron Conveyors are used mainly as
hopper extraction and crusher feed units in primary
crushing plants. The rugged design with infinitely-variable
electric or hydraulic drive has been successfully used in
countless operations under extremely demanding
conditions worldwide.
HAZEMAG Push Feeders are very rugged hopper
discharge units, which can also be supplied with infinitelyvariable mechanical or hydraulic drives.
HAZEMAG Roller Grates (Wobblers) are used
predominantly for the pre-screening of clayey materials.
In their role as a combined hopper discharge and prescreening unit, they present a particularly compact and
favourably-priced solution to this problem.
An Impact Crusher for practice-orientated testing in the HAZEMAG Test Plant
An ASS-type Rapid Dryer in the HAZEMAG Test Plant
In the HAZEMAG Test Plant, crushing, grinding and
drying tests are carried out under field conditions using
production machines. Taking advantage of the state of the
art measuring & control and visual display equipment
available, designs and processes can be optimised and
vital data gained on throughput rates, wear rates, power
consumption as well as crushing and drying characteristics.
In many cases, these practice-orientated and demonstratively proved results are used by our customers when
making their decisions on future capital investment.
TEST PLANT &
AFTER-SALES
SERVICE
HAZEMAG After-Sales Service Technicians are on standby 24 hours a day, and we have a stock holding of
approx. 20,000 spare parts. After-sales service has
become a key element in our strategy, and includes comprehensive spares supply, troubleshooting, erection, repair,
