WTCH Named Station and News Operation Of The Year
WTCH-AM 960 and 96.1 FM, a Results Broadcasting station, was named as Small Market Radio Station
of the Year and Best News Operation of the Year in the News/
Talk Radio category by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association
at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Gala on Saturday,
May 7, in Madison.
Results Broadcasting General Manager Eric Voight said, “It’s
truly an honor to be recognized by our peers in the industry
across the state of Wisconsin. We have a great team here and
we are proud to continue to be our community’s resource for
local information.”
WTCH’s sister station, Frog Country 92.3 FM JMQ, also won
three Awards of Excellent at the Wisconsin Broadcasters
Awards Gala, including Best Radio Show for Small Market, “The
Frog Country Afternoon Show with JD Daniels.”.
Keeping Your Business Connected
Businesses rely on internet connectivity to process credit card sales. Keeping connected when your primary provider goes down or in locations where wired connections aren’t available can mean less disruption and more sales. Consider the following situations.
Your primary internet provider’s connection goes down with an unknown time
to restoration and you can’t accept credit card transactions. How much money do
you lose in an hour alone? What if it’s out longer? Can you afford to turn away
business?
The question isn’t whether your business will lose connectivity to the Internet, but how to protect
your business from loss and disruption when it does happen. Mobile internet connections like CradlePoint
are a cost-effective way to bridge the gap with 3G/4G mobile broadband failover. These solutions can
automatically detect access issues with wired line connections and provide seamless connectivity to
avoid service interruptions. This means non-stop access for your business.
It’s summertime in Wisconsin and your business hits the road! You could be selling produce at a local
market, processing sales for your landscape business on-site or operating seasonally in a remote tourist
destination. Can you afford to be ‘cash only’ in today’s world? How many customers will you need to
turn away? Do you have the time and resources to invoice clients?
A 4G LTE tablet can offer you the connectivity you need on the go, allowing you to take credit card
payments and sell to more people (not just those with cash). A tablet can also empower your employees
to complete paperwork digitally – process work orders, log hours, create invoices and even take payments on-site – making your business more efficient! A CradlePoint device can also offer a more robust
solutions for multiple connections at one location.
Mobile internet connections open the door for a variety of business applications that can save time,
money and prevent downtime. For more information on these and other solutions, contact Cellcom today.
Cellcom is an innovative wireless company that provides nationwide service for its customer base
throughout Wisconsin and Michigan, with nearly 70 retail and agent locations. Cellcom is respected for
its long-standing reputation of delivering extraordinary customer care, being a strong community partner, and for its renowned network, which is customized to its rural markets. As a subsidiary of Nsight,
Cellcom is part of a family of companies offering complete telecommunications services.

ThedaStar Nurse Earns Safety Certification
ThedaStar flight nurse and safety officer Jeff Grimm is in rare company. He’s one of just 30 people in
the world to be certified as a Medical Transportation Safety Professional (MTSP-C).
Grimm attended the Association of Air Medical Services’ Safety
Management Training Academy one-week sessions in 2014 and
2015 before taking the certification exam earlier this year. The
programs goal is to crate an internationally recognized standard
that includes all aspects of safety management and risk mitigation
in medical transportation, with an emphasis on safety management systems, patient safety, workplace safety and aviation/
vehicle operational safety. ThedaCare Foundation-Neenah provided him with funding to attend the course.
Now that he has completed the program, Grimm plans to improve ThedaStar’s Safety management System (SMS). He said all
ThedaStar patients and crew members will benefit from having
the SMS in place and an increased focus on safety.
“With an SMS in place, we are not more proactive rather than
reactive in our safety program,” Grimm said. “This means our focus is on prevention of safety incidents by tracking trends and addressing minor issues before they expand into more severe safety
issues. The goal is to make ThedaStar the safest possible medical
transport program we can be.”
n addition to his MTSP-C, Grimm is also a Certified Critical Care
Registered Nurse and a Certified Flight Registered Nurse. He is also a licensed paramedic. He is from Manawa and lives in Weyauwega.
