NKRA Against Corruption A Map of Trengganu - The Book Briefing by YBhg Dato’ Hisham Nordin, Director of NKRA Monitoring and Coordination Division to Heads of Department of the High Commission of Malaysia on 10 March, 2011 on the government initiative to eradicate corruption in the country.Words and picture by H.E Datuk Zakaria Sulong (3rd from Sarimah right) delivering the welcoming Akbar A Map of Trengganu by London based writer, Wan Ahmad Hulaimi, under his pen name, Awang Goneng, made its debut in London on 17 April, 2011. This is the third book by Wan Hulaimi, after the success of Growing Up in Trengganu and the coffee table book, Selangor: A Celebration. A Map of Trengganu is the sequel for Growing Up in Trengganu, which chronicles the growing up years of the author in Trengganu. Present at the introduction of the book at Tuk Din's restaurant in Paddington were the Malaysian High Commissioner to UK, Datuk Zakaria Sulong and his wife Datin Hazizah Ahmad. Datuk Zakaria said, the book is very useful to give an insight to the younger generation, of what life used to be like in Malaysia. - Words and picture by Zaharah Othman. Easter Cup 2011 Football Challenge London April 3, 2011 - The Easter Cup 2011 11-a-side football tournament was held at North Acton playing fields. The highly anticipated annual sporting events held by London UMNO Club have attracted 12 teams from across the country. Hicom FC had an easy game through the group stage and quarter finals before losing 0-1 to Brunei B at the semi finals. The fight for third place against Queensway FC ended in a 0-0 draw which brought the game to a shoot-out. Queensway FC won 5-3 on penalties. This year’s tournament saw His Excellency Datuk Zakaria Sulong in the midfield sporting the no. 2 kit. The High Commissioner’s presence in the team have had a major impact in boosting the team’s spirit through to the semi finals. Congratulations to all the players and supporters.
