Dauphin Curling Rink features a 6-sheet
curling rink that house many bonspiels,
lessons and other events. To learn more about

The CUP
The CUP - Credit Union Place is home to
our MJHL’s Dauphin Kings and many other
young hockey clubs. This state of the art
facility has hosted many stars on stage
and special events. It also has a 211-metre
rubberized walking and running track at the
above location.
DRS Grounds
DRS Grounds features a racing track and
grandstand, horse track and stables,
baseball diamonds, off-leash dog park and
our summer Dauphin Fair. The grounds are
located behind the Rotary Area on 1st St SE
beside the CUP – Credit Union Place.

Vermillion Park Sportxplex
Vermillion Park Sportxplex is home to five ball diamonds, a batting cage,
two soccer pitches and a rugby pitch. There is bleacher seating behind
each diamond, concession and washroom facilities. Vermillion Park Sportsplex
is conveniently located next to the Vermillion Park Campground.

KEAYS STREET
Features camping sites, 3 km walking, snowshoeing and cross country ski
trails, as well as, ice skating during winter. You can go for evening walks
along the Vermillion River to view waterfowl and various wildlife or enjoy the
splash park and playground during those hot summer days. There are many
spots throughout the park to have a family or group picnic.

snowmobile trails in the Parkland
and is connected to the TransCanada Trail system.
Ice Fishing
Fishing is a year-round sport here!
Lake Dauphin becomes a winter
village of ice fishing shacks. It is
also the location for Canada’s
largest annual ice fishing contest
held every year in March.

Winter Fun
Winter is a busy time of year with
lots of things to do! Take in a
Dauphin Kings Junior “A” hockey
game or enjoy the minor hockey
tournaments held throughout the
winter. Curling Bonspiels are a fun
way to spend a weekend with
friends and family.
Duck Mountain Provincial Park
Known as “The Ducks” this provincial park is classified as a Natural
Park. River valleys, wetlands, and streams are characteristic of the
area’s glacial origins. Activities include, backcountry camping, canoeing,
hiking, skiing, snowmobiling and scuba diving. Blue Lake is an amazing
camping and picnic area that caters to all ages. From water skiers to
kayakers, this lake provides a beautiful beach and dock to launch off.
“The Ducks” is situated 1 hour northwest of Dauphin.
Fishing & Hunting
Fishing is a favorite pastime in the area
because of the many wonderful lakes for
people to enjoy. Lake Dauphin is a trophy
walleye fishery with fish weighing 1.4 to
1.8 kg (3-4lbs) or more! Try your luck
catching northern pike and Master Angler
walleye. A number of great fishing lakes
and rivers can be found in the Ducks, all
within one hour drive. Fish for many species
including rainbow trout, brown trout, splake,
lake trout, brook trout, walleye, perch,
northern pike, lake whitefish, sparr, bass
and smallmouth bass.

Parks
There are many opportunities and adventures
in the Dauphin area for the hunting enthusiast
with some of the largest whitetail deer and
black bear in North America. The area is also
home to elk, moose, waterfowl and game bird

Rainbow Beach Provincial Park
Rainbow Beach Provincial Park is a beautiful beach ridge on Lake
Dauphin. Just 15 mins east on Highway 20 you can enjoy your hot
summers in the sun or under the shade while kids have fun building
sand castles, shell hunting or swimming in the lake. With picnic
areas, campgrounds, trails and playgrounds there is fun for all ages.

Situated amidst a sea of agricultural land just 10 minutes south of
Dauphin, the Riding Mountain rises dramatically from the prairie
landscape. Forming part of the Manitoba Escarpment, this “island”
reserve protects a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation areas.
The park has numerous hiking trails, camping locations and lakes
to fish, canoe and boat on. Wasagaming, the park’s townsite,
offers a full range of visitor services including accommodation,

1. Drivers Licence
A government agency called Manitoba
Public Insurance (PMI) oversees the
licensing of drivers and insuring of
drivers and vehicles. MPI requires that
every driver be tested and issued
a driver’s licence. MPI also requires that
all cars and trucks have insurance. This
insurance is called AUTOPAC. You can
find the MPI office at 217 Industrial Road.

This card allows you
to receive free medical

Number ( SIN ) Card
This card shows the SIN assigned
to you by the federal government.
You need this number to work or
receive government benefits. To apply,
you need your landing documents
and permanent resident card. The
documents must be originals and
written in English or French. When
you submit your application ask for a
receipt or temporary card; this allows
you to apply for jobs while you wait
