Our communication through our alumnus and practitioners have to be consistent, and in order to do that our message has to be told. 03 our name + anagram Our official name is Rocky Mountain College Ofiical name Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design of Art + Design, and our anagram is RMCAD (pronounced rem-cad). Anagram RMCAD Incorrect Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design RMCAD is the main title of our institution. It should be used verbally to communicate who we are in place of our official name. However, in writing, our official name should follow the first instance of RMCAD. After that, RMCAD should be used at all times. It can also be referred to as a logotype, but the use of this book we will refer to it as our Logotype logo. This logo had font influences, but it was specifically drawn to be its own unique set of characters. Our logo was designed so that it can work ontop of, surrounded by, and alongside many different types of imagery and designs. However, when the logo is used alongside other logos (i.e., as in a sponsorship situation) The logo should not be altered, rearranged or re-created in any way; this includes being stretched or scaled out of proportion. Incorrect Our logo is registered and must have the regsitration symbol in place at all times. See page 07 for our preferred palette of colors. fyi: Vector & rastor images: Vector based files can be stretched to be larger. Raster files such as a jpeg, tiff, raw, gif or png has stationary pixels and will not stretch gracefully. Please do not stretch the logo. 05 signatures A signature is the combination of our logo and official name. The plus sign that is within our name that accompanies the Formal Signature logo should always be represented with another color in our palette, unless it is in printed in black and white. The seven colors represent each of our BFA programs, indicated below the color swatches. As a secondary identity element the icon can be used alongside our logotype and apart from the logotype, but never without our logotype somewhere on the same page (both print, web and in signage). But please be responsible. Our logo should be legible and should stand out if and when it is used against and around other images and objects.
