• After exiting the 1,9 km swim
course the athletes have a
short 100m run to their T1
bags (blue). The athletes will
carry these bags through the
change tent and be directed
to drop them prior to the bike
racks in a distinctly marked
location.

One member of your team can pick up your race pack at
registration as long as the event waiver is
signed by each relay member

It is not possible for one team member and/or team
captain to pick up race packs for more than their
own relay, not even with authorization

Racing in a relay is always slightly different to individual
athletes. IMPORTANT: Attend the race briefing for further
information about the race for relays

Relay handoff: at the transition area (close to swim-in /
run-out)

swim course will be
divided into two 935m
long course sections
out and back with a
30m gap between the
two turn around buoys
• Buoys will alternate
between large and
small (different colour
every 50m)

The athletes will line up
according to their realistic
predicted swim time (selfseeding).

Go to the box according to your
estimated swim time.

The posted signs and our
volunteers show you the
designated areas.
 Every second 1-2 athletes start their
swim.
 Your time begins to run when you walk
over the timing mat. It`s directly in front
of the water.
 You have to swim with a wet suit until a
water temperature of max. 24,5 degree.




On race morning all athletes will
enter the transition area from
the bike out. Athletes will walk
along the spectator’s and VIP
stands to gain access to their
bikes and when finished there
can head to the swim start and
will do so as directed on the map.
Note that Morning clothes bag
drop is located immediately
before the entrance to the swim
area so bring this with you when
you head to the swim start.
Please note that once you enter
the pre start area it is not
possible to exit so be prepared.
There are toilets located in this
pre start. area
Directly beside the finish
line stands a part of the
IRONMAN Merchandise
tent as well as the VIP
area and the After Finish
area, where athletes can
calm down after the
race and where the
following award
ceremony takes place
