The HUHS Scholarship Foundation, Inc. originally began as the B.E.S.T. (Better Education Scholarship Trust), in December 1989. In 2015, the Board decided to change
the internal structure of the trust to a foundation primarily for internal organization,
and name change to HUHS Scholarship Foundation Inc. The foundation remains a
non-profit, Sec. 501 (c) (3) of the IRS Code. Donations are deductible for federal and
state tax purposes.
HUHS graduating seniors are eligible to apply for the scholarships in January each
year. In 2015, 41 endowed and 2 general scholarships were awarded. Enclosed in this
mailing is a separate letter explaining the levels of giving, please consider supporting
our local graduates.
