Galveston / Harmon Galveston / Federal Galveston / Columbia Galveston / 11th (10 Barrels) Galveston / 11th (Le Cakery) Galveston / 13th Old Fire Hall Bond Street INTERNATIONAL PL A ZA AT DUCK ISL AND PARKS AND OPEN SPACE MASTER PL AN OCTOBER 2012 Street Network Waterfront Road Waterfront Road is a new street to be constructed at the edge of the riverfront dike. It will connect with No. 3 Road and the new extension of West Road to form a full loop through the site. Waterfront Road will have travel lanes with bicycle sharrow areas and pockets for parallel parking and taxi / bus stops. The street is intended to be particularly pedestrian friendly in much the same fashion as the streets surrounding Granville Island Market, since pedestrians are anticipated and encouraged to wander back and forth from the shops, services and restaurants on the building face to the waterfront promenade and restaurants. Accordingly, the street will incorporate facilities like special paving and raised crosswalks to slow vehicular traffic down and make the street pedestrian friendly. West Road INTERNATIONAL PL A ZA AT DUCK ISL AND PARKS AND OPEN SPACE MASTER PL AN OCTOBER 2012 Section C – Waterfront Road West Road will be extended a short distance towards the river in an alignment that follows the existing Kinder Morgan jet fuel pipeline. This street will also have dual vehicle / bicycle lanes, since volumes and speeds are anticipated to be low. There will be pockets for parallel parking and taxi / bus stops. Travel speeds will be slowed by use of the same facilities as on Waterfront Road.
