Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley will hold its 3rd annual event,
La Casa Que Canta, on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Venezzia Event Center in
Brownsville. Please join us for a great evening featuring the Dueling Pianos and help us “Howl
at the Moon” with singing, clapping, stomping, and rock n’ roll dueling piano show! It’s part
piano bar and part sing-a-long and a whole lot of fun! The evening will also include a catered
dinner and drinks. What a great way to have fun and raise money for such a worthwhile cause!
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley provides a “home-away-fromhome” for families whose seriously ill or injured children are receiving medical care at
Rio Grande Valley hospitals. Over eighty five percent of the families who stay at the Ronald
McDonald House or use one of our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms reside in Brownsville!
Funds raised from this event will be used to help families who depend on the organization
while their children are receiving lifesaving medical care.
For 15 years, the Ronald McDonald House has been keeping families together. The generosity
of our community helps ensure that this House remains a safe, comfortable, welcoming “home”
for our families during their time of need.

lives of families with seriously ill or injured children. Ronald McDonald House Charities
of the Rio Grande Valley provide warm beds, hot showers, laundry facilities, familyfriendly kitchens, and playrooms – all of the basic essentials of home. The Ronald
McDonald House provides families with more than just a place to rest, but a place
where families can support each other and be close to their child when they are
needed most.
Over the years, our mission has remained the same, while the need for our services
continue to grow. Even though over 98% of the families who call Ronald McDonald
House “home” are not able to pay the $10 per night donation, no family is ever turned
away due to an inability to pay. We look toward the community and friends of the
Ronald McDonald House to maintain the services we provide to families.
