Easter Sunday is a day all about seeking. The early Chris:an communi:es gathered around the Apostles, seeking more about the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus. Saint Paul told the bap:zed Colossians to “seek what is above.” Mary of Magdala went to the tomb, seeking to find the Lord’s body so that she could anoint it. We come to church on Easter Sunday seeking many things. For some of us, this is a once a year journey, when we seek connec:on with the founda:ons of the Chris:an faith. For others, this day is the culmina:on of a long journey of Lenten repentance. For the newly bap:zed, this is the first Whatever it is that we seek, let us be inspired by the disciple whom Jesus loved who, when he saw the wrappings of cloth inside the empty tomb, “saw and believed.” MASS INTENTIONS , TODAY’S MUSIC AND SCRIPTURE READINGS April 5, 2015 Scripture Easter Sunday Acts 10:34A, 37 – 43 Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23 1 Corinthians 5: 6B – 8 John 20:1-9 Saturday, April 4 9:00 AM 7:30 PM Sunday, April 5 8:00 AM 10:00 AM 12:00 PM Monday, April 6 9:00 AM Tuesday, April 7 9:00 AM Wednesday, April 8 9:00 AM Thursday, April 9 9:00 AM Friday, April 10 9:00 AM Saturday, April 11 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Sunday, April 12 7:30 AM 9:00 AM 10:30 AM 12:00 PM Liturgy of the Hours Members of our Parish Members of our Parish Members of our Parish Members of our Parish Theresa Lara + Almo Tabacco + Music Jesus Christ is Risen Today – EASTER HYMN Glory to God - Mass of Crea:on – Marty haugen Psalm 118 - This Day Was Made By The Lord – Christopher Walker Alleluia Con Brio – Cur:s Stephan Sing to the Mountains – Bob Dufford, SJ Mass of Crea:on – Marty Haugen The Lord is My Shepherd - Janèt Whitaker I Am The Bread of Life – Suzanne Toolan, RSM The Strife is O'er - Palestrina Cath Comm at Emeritus Janice Rizzo + Arsenio Villon + Communion Service Helen Kapushinski + Members of our Parish Frank Berry+ Peter Gleeson + Galo & Anunsacion Mendoza + Prayers for those who are sick or suffering: Stanley Zielezienski, Roberta Ambrose Sotelo, Janet Bertolero, Patrick Lofy, Tim Howard, Jose Zamoro, Narciso Juat, Patrick Vermaaten, Beverly Houy, Thomas Sullivan, Colleen Neves, Davis Bullock, Teresita, Elena Alvaniel, Beverly Hoey, Kent Campbell, Norma Hajduch, Amy Hajduch Jones, Joan Croker, Juanita Estrellas, Ted Fornoles, Jim Tetard, Irene De Leon, Dick Steineke, Jaime Veluz, Clark Johnson, Kathy Barnard, Linda Peek, Jeff Navas, Myrna Brocius, Dorothy Sullivan, Nora Chubon, Kelli Yamashita Pray for our Deceased: Beth Holzhauer, Lody Ongsiako, Preciosa Dayrit, Alan Fernando Page Four ST. Mitch Bias The reason I want to be Catholic is that Catholicism is a universal religion, people all over the world belong to this big family through Christ. Also, Catholicism is the closest religion to the pure and untouched teachings of Jesus Christ. I want to experience the sacraments and be closer to Jesus and his word.
