Nine days of Divine Bliss
Pt Dr Gopal R Thripathi, a qualified Ritvik, performing the Dashagriva
Shiroharaya Yagna, in the presence of Swamini Gopeshwari Didi Ji
MELBOURNE, APR 1. Melbourne
residents were blessed on the
occasion of Ram Navami to get an
opportunity to receive nine days
of spiritual nourishment in the
association of Her Holiness Sushree
Swamini Gopeshwari Devi Ji from
Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat India.
Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat
Australia (JKPA), comprising of all
young members, held a 9-day series
of inspiring lectures at the Rentaul
Hall in Burwood where the most
revered guest speaker Swamini
Gopeshwari Didi Ji talked on the
philosophy propounded by the
Holy Scripture ‘Ramayan’.
Didi Ji
emphasised heavily on the Uttar
Kand of the Ramayan.
Various Ram Leelas were
performed daily by the devotees of
JKPA depicting the philosophy from
the Holy Ramayan.
On the last day, a grand
Yagna was also performed called the
“Dashagriva Shirohaya Yagna”. These
havan rituals in Dashagriva Shirohaya
Yagna are intended to rid the aspirant
of the ten bad qualities, which are
represented by ten heads of Ravan as
follows: Kama (Lust), Krodha (Anger),
Moha (delusion), Lobha (Greed),
Mada (Pride), Matsara (Jealousy),
Mana (Mind), Buddhi (Intellect),
Chitta (will) and Ahankar (Ego).
Her Holiness Swamini
Gopeshwari Devi Ji is the foremost
preacher of the worlds most
revered Saint, Anantavibushit 1008
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj –
only the 5th divine personality to be
honoured with the title of Jagadguru
(Spiritual Master of the world) in
the last 5,000 years by Kashi Vidwat
Parishat.
Shri Maharaj Ji observed
that people were misguided and
totally ignorant of the actual essence
of the scriptures, and the true form
of devotional practice. To rectify this
dismal spiritual state of mankind, in
the year 1955, He organised a huge
conference in Chitrakoot, which
was attended by the most eminent
scholars and Saints from Kashi, and
various other parts of India.
Another
religious
conference of a similar scale was
organised by His Divine Grace in
1956 in Kanpur. It was during these
conferences that His scriptural
omniscience was revealed to the
world, and even the most learned
scholars of Kashi who attended the
conference were baffled and lost in
amazement.
For the past 80 years
Shri Maharaj Ji has been working
tirelessly for the welfare of mankind.
His Divine Grace has founded an
organisation - Jagadguru Kripalu
Parishat (JKP), to effectively carry
out various spiritual, philanthropic
and humanitarian activities in order
to serve the general public. JKP has
also established free Hospitals and
a free Educational Institution to
give the poor and underprivileged
communities in rural parts of North
India hope and opportunities for a
bigger and brighter future.
