STUTZ ARTISTS OPEN HOUSE APRIL 29, 5:30-10:30pm & APRIL 30, 2-7pm | stutzartists.com Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Member NYSE/SIPC Welcome from the Stutz Artists Association Welcome to the 23rd annual Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House. We appreciate you being here in support of our residency program. Have fun, enjoy the art, find something for your home or office, and meet the many varied artists who have studios here. This is a fantastic building to work in, so full of creative spirits. We also invite you to experience our Gallery openings in conjunction with the IDADA First Friday Art Tour. Every month our exhibits change and each one brings new and exciting art for you to see. — Martha Carlson, President, Stutz Artists Association FROM OUR SPONSOR, RAYMOND JAMES® On behalf of our many financial advisors and associates in the Indianapolis community, Raymond James is honored to once again serve as the title sponsor of the 23rd Annual Stutz Artists Open House. At Raymond James, we believe that just as important as bringing thoughtful financial planning and investment advice to individuals, corporations and municipalities is our commitment to give back to the communities in which we live and work. This sponsorship in recognition of the arts began in 2010, but Raymond James’ commitment to our communities, and specifically to the arts, extends throughout the history of our firm. In fact, Tom James, our executive chairman and former CEO, is currently working on a major addition to the arts, cultural and economic development of our community in St. Petersburg, Florida through the opening of his new art museum in 2017. You can learn about the firm’s commitment to the community on www.raymondjames.com/community. I am proud to support the Stutz Artists Open House through this event and thank you for joining us as we embrace art and the artists who create it, and to be part of this growing art event in Indianapolis. I hope you enjoy the open house! —Tash Elwyn, President, Raymond James & Associates, member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC FROM THE DESK OF TURNER WOODARD Welcome to our 23rd Annual Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House. It is with great appreciation that we once again welcome back Raymond James & Associates as a proud sponsor. This weekend you will have the opportunity to tour this wonderful turn-of-the-century automobile factory that now is the home to over 200 tenants—many of them artists and creative businesses. I believe that the real joy of these next two days is the opportunity not only to meet and greet the many wonderful and talented artists that reside here in our Stutz Factory, but it is a rare opportunity to be able to visit them in their actual working studios—this is why the Stutz Open House was created. Again welcome, and on behalf of the Stutz Artists Association and the Stutz Management Team, enjoy your hours here at the factory and remember “there is great joy in buying local art!” — Turner Woodard, Owner since 1992 THANKS TO THESE OPEN HOUSE PARTNERS 2 HOURS Friday, April 29, 5:30-10:30 p.m.& Saturday, April 30, 2-7 p.m. DISCOUNTS Friday guests may return on Saturday for free with their ticket stubs. Check the list of cars below and the icons on the maps to find the locations of these fabulous cars. Turner Woodard’s car collection shown throughout the building is the culmination of over 40 years of buying, trading, and selling collectible cars! Turner has taken great care in choosing, and adding, cars in his collection that are meaningful to him. The collection ranges from a 1914 Stutz Bearcat to a 1989 Lamborghini Countach and everything in between. The cars you see throughout the building all have some special meaning to him. Whether it was a car he always dreamed of owning or a car he once rode in with his dad, each of the cars you see has a story. For example, the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car evokes a wonderful memory for Turner. In May of 1978, as a young aspiring race driver, Turner was standing in pit lane at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on a practice day when Tom Binford pulls up in the pace car, looks over, and offers Turner a ride around the track. Turner often speaks of this fine memory with a smile on his face. It is these kinds of fond memories that live in each car in his collection.
