Moreton Bay Table Tennis Association Welcome
On behalf of the Moreton Bay Table Tennis Association we would like to
welcome special guests, players, their family and friends to the 4th Women’s
National Table Tennis Challenge.
We like to think of Moreton Bay as a young Table Tennis club with a big heart
and an even bigger vision. The “Women’s National Table Tennis Challenge”
has been created by us. As a club we believe the place of women in our sport
deserves to be recognised and promoted. We intend for this Challenge to
continue to provide a platform for exciting and competitive women’s table
tennis, and to ensure that those who participate are made to feel special.
We have again prepared a program which we believe will encourage and
inspire both women already playing our wonderful sport, and those who are
yet to take it up.
Our club has a reputation for friendliness. So, for this event to be considered
a success, we hope it is seen to be well run, competitive on the court, but just
as importantly, we want everyone to feel they were welcomed, both players
and spectators alike and that you all enjoy the day.

Table Tennis Queensland Welcome
On behalf of Table Tennis Queensland I would like to welcome everyone to this
year’s Women’s National Table Tennis Challenge.
I would like to commend the Moreton Bay Table Tennis Association for again
coordinating this fantastic event. It’s a great addition to the Table Tennis
Queensland annual calendar. This year’s event includes some of the best female
players from across Queensland participating. In particular many Queensland
representatives of all ages. This include members of the Queensland Junior team
that recently competed at the National Juniors in Alice Springs. While a number of
our Queensland Senior & Veterans team members competing are preparing for the
National Senior & Veterans Championships respectively, due to be held in the next
couple of months.
Table Tennis Queensland will continue to support the Women’s National Table
Tennis Challenge in future. Increasing female participation across the state is a
priority in our current Stategic Plan. I would like to acknowledge the funding
we receive from the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing from
the Queensland Goverment that allows us to support fantastic events like the
Women’s National Table Tennis Challenge.
Best of luck to all players at this year’s event.
Trevor Barrett
