45 of our dancers aged 7 -16 performed with
Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas on 28th April,
at the Anvil. The children had a great time
meeting the stars and getting their T-shirts
autographed by them. It was a thoroughly
entertaining show and our dancers gave a
fantastic performance to a packed audience.
Pasha and Katya weren’t bad either! We are
keeping our fingers crossed that we may be
invited to perform with them again next year.

We had another successful Medal Test on 31 st

Not long now! Photo shoot done, sound
recording done, routines finished, over 300
costumes ordered, it’s now just a race against
time to get everything polished and put all of
the final preparations into place.
lucky I am to have such a rewarding job.
A huge thank you to all of the parents of the
dancer’s in the show, your time, support and
co-operation in the months leading up to the
show has been immense, I sincerely hope that
when you finally get to watch the show, you will
feel that all of your effort was worthwhile too.
The show is really taking shape now and it’s
looking fantastic! Staging Danceforce takes an
incredible amount of hard work and
commitment, but the end result is always so
well worth it! Seeing the children have so much
fun and watching their confidence grow with
every performance always reminds me how
Please encourage your family and friends to
come and watch the show and don’t forget that
we are especially encouraging our dancers to
invite their friend to Sunday matinee
performance, after which they can meet with
them in the upper café, for lots of fun and
photos. Please remember to let us know by
email: LyndenDance@aol.com the names of any
dancer’s friends who are coming so that we can
add them to the guest list and make sure they
have a goody bag to take home.

Musical Theatre Summer Workshops
We are running 3 musical theatre workshops
during the summer holidays: ‘Robin and The
Sherwood Hoodies’ 5th – 9th August at The
Fieldgate Centre, Kingsclere and 12th- 16th at
Basingstoke Sports Centre and ‘Splash’ 19th –
23rd August at Chineham Village Hall.
Also, after the Saturday evening performance
there will be a get together in the upper café
for former Lyndonians. If you are in touch with
any of our former students, please invite them
to come along to the performance and meet
their old friends after the show. We are
planning to have lots of old photos to reminisce
over too. It will be lovely to catch up with
everyone! Again, please let us know who is
coming so that we can add them to the guest
list.
All of the information regarding the
arrangements for Danceforce has been emailed
to every dancer but you will also find a copy of
everything on the Danceforce tab on our
website and also on our Facebook page. We can
only display the latest information on the notice
board at The Sports Centre; to display it all
would mean covering almost every square inch
of the second floor…I don’t think Mr Starbuck
would approve! To make things a little easier, I
have included a check list for the most
important things to remember.
We look forward to a spectacular show!
Special Events
