PASTOR’S MESSAGE
3
On this Sunday we celebrate mother’s day, we also remember in a very special way our heavenly and blessed Mother, Mary, that is why at 9:30 am Mass the children who received their
First Communion last Sunday will crown Mary as a sign of our devotion and love, queen of all
creation. Today is the right moment to appreciate the gift and vocation of every mother on
earth. Every mom has been endowed with this inner vocation of nurturing, care and love.
Mary, our mother is an example and prototype of what a mother should be. Of the many virtues in Mary one is that of trust and confidence in God’s providence. When Mary was visited
by the angel to answer the heavenly proposal to be the mother of God, she sincerely said that
she knew no man, however, Mary knowing that for God nothing is impossible said: “Let it be
done according to thy will”, indeed, this is a great example for many mothers when they find themselves in situations
where it seems impossible to resolve, a good mother with faith and confidence will say: “My Lord let it be done according to thy plan and not mine”. Mary’s charity surpasses even at the point of sacrifice, when she was with child,
she hurried to go and help her cousin Elizabeth, who advanced in years, was with a child. Elizabeth realized that and
exclaimed: “How is that the Mother of my Lord has visited me” and from that day on, Mary helped Elizabeth in the
tasks of her home. Mary is a shining example of charity in sacrificing oneself for others. That is the exact thing that a
new mother does when her newborn baby is born, she does not mind what time she has to get up during the night to
take care of her child. Love covers any inconveniences. "In dangers, in doubts, in difficulties, think of Mary, call upon
Mary. Let not her name depart from your lips, never suffer it to leave your heart. And that you may obtain the assistance of her prayer, neglect not to walk in her footsteps. With her for guidance, you shall never go astray; while invoking her, you shall never lose heart; so long as she is in your mind, you are safe from deception; while she holds your
hand, you cannot fall; under her protection you have nothing to fear; if she walks before you, you shall not grow weary; if she shows you favor, you shall reach the goal." --Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, Father and Doctor of the Church
Holy Mission: you all are invited to attend the outreach mission to be held here from J une 6 to the 16th. There will
be a Mass of sending forth of the missionaries, where I will send everyone, to proclaim the gospel to all the people of
Mankato, on Monday June 6 at 5:15 pm. The missionaries, consisting in IVE brothers and sisters, youth and minor
seminarians will be knocking at the door of your home to invite for the different activities that we will have. Everyday
will be dedicated for a special intention. In the morning will be having the walking rosary and in the evening the missionary sermon by Fr. Brian Dinkel, IVE. Then after that the brothers and sisters will prepare an entertainment on the
lawn of the church. There will also be activities for both children and youth and the priests will be available to go and
to anoint those who are sick at home. More information will be posted in the bulletin and in brochures.

Pro Life
A sense of deep
communion with
the rest of nature
cannot be real if
our hearts lack
tenderness, compassion and concern for our fellow humans beings. It is
clearly inconsistent to combat trafficking in endangered
species while remaining completely indifferent to human trafficking, unconcerned about the poor, or undertaking to destroy another human being deemed unwanted. This compromises the very meaning of our struggle
for the sake of the environment.
~Pope Francis, Laudato Si, no.91

CONTINUAMENTE ALABANDO A DIOS
alegres. . . permanecían constantemente en el templo
alabando a Dios” (Lucas 24:53).
¿Cómo podemos alabar a Dios continuamente?
(Efesios 1:17). No podemos mantenernos a distancia.
Vamos a ser iluminados y fortalecidos.
