NOTEWORTHY BIOS SHIBA PALMER – LEAD VOCALS A t rue love r of all music, Shiba combines R&B, jazz, blues and rock into a soulful blend of captivating sound. He r big voice and large r-than-life stage persona have taken he r to Philadelphia’s Neo-soul & house music ci rcuits and Det roit & Ge rmany’s jazz scenes. Born and raised in Det roit, she credits the Motown legacy fo r teaching he r that a t rue ente rtaine r not only sings, but moves, talks & looks the part. So get ready fo r a fi rst- rate show!! NAT W ILSON - K EYBOARDS / VOCALS Nat Wilson is a fo rce to be reckoned with has perfo rming with ove r 40 years of expe rience of wo rking in concerts, nightclubs, halls, and festivals. He has been onstage with Carl Carlton, G rant G reen, Ohio Players and many othe rs. In enginee ring, p roducing, w riting and ar ranging, Nate's talent is way above ave rage. JOHN FORD - BASS / VOCALS John has been making music fo r ove r 30 years. With his many years of professional expe rience, from studio sessions to playing live gigs, John p rides himself as being a "wo rking" bass playe r with the ability to cove r many styles. Bass is John's inst rument of choice, but he is also gifted as a reco rd producer, p romote r and sound w rite r. Since his early years of studying music, He has played with o r shared the stage with a g reat many artist. W ENDELL C HILDS-DRUMS / VOCALS The ambition of a man is measu red by the dete rmination in his heart. Wendell Childs was bo rn and raised in Gary, ID. Using eve rything in his home to bang & beat on, he was bo rn a d rumme r. When his family moved to Inkste r, MI, his choices we re unlimited. This young man began playing all so rts of music. Wendell has played and sat in with the Fou r Tops, the Chilites, the Spaniels, Coco Taylo r, Arutie Blues Boy White, Buddy Guy, Karl Weathe rby and many othe rs. "Wendell Childs...A D ream of Percussions." DAVE LEHMAN – G UITAR A classically-t rained violinist since the age of 5 & a self-taught guitarist since 16, David jokes that he "played in Carnegie Hall when he was 9, & it was all downhill from the re". One of the 1st Ame rican students of the Suzuki Violin School, his early pe rfo rmances we re in Rocheste r, NY, studying unde r Anastasia Jempelis (Eastman School of Music Prep Dept.), joining the Eastman Children's Cho rus unde r Milford Fargo. He has studied both analog & digital recording techniques, se rving as enginee r fo r WCC, WEMU, & the Ann A rbo r A rt Fai r. David has reco rded at Solid Sound, Pearl Sound, & played guitar with Lar ry Austin & Les Carte r, fo rme rly of Shotgun. CAMERON C HEEKS - PERCUSSION A 30 year vete ran of the music indust ry, Came ron is one of the p remie re percussionists of South-East Michigan. He started off his caree r as a Blue-Ribbon percussion winne r at the Inte rlochen Music Camp. Since that early start, Came ron has played with Little Carl Carlton & the G rant Green Jazz Band, just to name a few. He has held an audience captivated at the Fo x Theate r & may othe r large venues in the Det roit Met ropolitan area, as well as se rved as a percussionist fo r a variety of musical & dance g roups.
