Library Outreach Have your books ready on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. The Library Outreach volunteer will be bringing you a new supply of reading material. If you are not signed up for Library Outreach and would like to be, please see April. Second Chance Store BOB IS ALSO A MASONIC MEMBER AND HE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO GO WITH HIM! THE MEETINGS ARE A 10:00 A.M. COFFEE AND DONUT, ON THURSDAY MORNINGS. PLEASE LET BOB KNOW OR ACTIVITIES IF YOU WISH TO Sign up at Nurses Station for all Van outings. Guests are welcome on any outing as long as all residents are seated first. During the winter season all Van Outings are subject to the Weather. Spiritual programs at Sherwood St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Service, 9:30 a.m. in the Kensington Room on Feb. 4th & 18th. Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 2:00 p.m. in the Kensington Room on Feb. 7th. Assembly of God Church, will not be here this month due to Valentines Day. Vineyard Church, 3:00 p.m. in the Kensington Room on Feb. 21st The Second Chance store is open on First Baptist Church, 3:00 p.m. in the Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 Kensington Room on Feb. 29th. p.m. Sherwood Bucks are the only thing Kelly, volunteer shop attendant, will take. Donations are accepted for the store through the Activity Department. APRIL SHOPS PARTICIPATE. We have a Facebook page! February 2016 Shopping is done as needed. Please give your list to the Nurses Station or to April. The Sherwood Like to Know 6 The Sherwood Choir Meetings are every Volunteer Pianist, Donna. Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. for rehearsal. If you don’t like to play an instrument but enjoy singing, then this is the group for you. Please join us. Join in the fun and sing your heart out in the Choir. and day on the calendar. Paint & Draw with Carrie If you have always wanted to learn to paint now is your chance. This group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. Carrie always has some interesting techniques to share with us. Billiards @ the 5th Avenue Find yourself wanting to play some pool? There will be an ongoing Billiards Tournament on Thursday afternoon at the Fifth Ave. at 3:00 p.m. sharing with us is narrated by an Associate Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences from St. Louis. It is a very interesting series. After the half hour presentation, you will have an opportunity to discuss the things that you have learned in a group discussion lead by Bob. Watch for this program on your calendars once a week. GENTLEMEN, THIS IS RIGHT UP YOUR ALLEY SO TAKE ADVANTAGE! Bob will also be presenting a series called “ Explore the Planets Beyond Our Solar System” look for it on your calendars. “Parliament of Owls” birding group with Phyllis Who doesn’t like to watch birds? This group will meet once a month. The meeting will either be at the Sherwood or will be an outing (while weather allows) to observe some new birds or just listen for bird calls. We have a lot of exciting plans for this group. So come be a part of our wildlife experience & Enjoy BIRDING! SIT & TAP with Marianne Watercolor with Bonita Have you wanted to learn to watercolor? Well here is your chance. Bonita has an arts degree and is going to teach us how to watercolor. This class will be held once a month on the second Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Marianne is an experienced tap teacher. She will be leading a sit and tap class in the Activity room. Do you need to keep your leg muscles in shape and have fun while you’re doing it? Well, here is your chance! This class is held once a week on Monday afternoons. I’ll be there! Will you?
