These rights are collected via different collecting societies throughout the world. Altafonte works with the collecting societies in each country to process the collection of royalties for producers who seek this service. Management of Publishing Rights Altafonte’s publishing department manages the publishing catalogues of our clients in the territories of Spain and Latin America. Altafonte’s work and monitoring will increase the amount of royalties collected for the original publisher, but will also be essential to the protection of musical works, all the while maintaining Altafonte’s business philosophy: service, transparency and working together. Synchronization Licenses For the use of a musical work, the permission of the producer and the publisher or author is required. Here at Altafonte we take charge of the commercial work related to sync licenses, including presenting the content provided to us by producers and artists to different music users in mediums such as advertising, film, television, radio, audiovisual platforms, etc. 10 Altafonte — Network Digital Distribution We are a global distributor of music content. The content we market is present in all the biggest digital stores and platforms from around the world: iTunes, Google, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Amazon, Movistar, Pandora, Shazam, Tidal, Beatport, Pono, etc. We provide services for and work with record labels and professional producers in the Latin sector in countries like Spain, Portugal, the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Costa Rica… among others. Physical Distribution We are wholesale distributors of phonographic media (CD’s, DVDs, vinyl records) which we market in record stores in Spain and Portugal, such as El Corte Inglés, FNAC, Amazon, Media Markt and other specialized stores. We also distribute in some countries in Latin America. Altafonte and [PIAS] maintain a strategic alliance; together we represent a wide catalog of international record labels, in physical as well as digital distribution, licenses and rights management. We also offer our partners a high-quality manufacturing service at the most competitive market price. Video Network We are a global distributor of audiovisual content for video channels such as VEVO, Daily Motion and Terra. What’s more, with YouTube we are a MULTI-CHANNEL NETWORK approved and certified by Google: we offer services in content tagging and copyright protection, as well as claims and conflict resolution. In understanding this need, as well as the complex processes involved, we have implemented an online system that grants personalized access to each artist to their sales and content usage data. Altafonte pays you monthly the revenue generated by your music. Payments & Finances Artists and record labels have access to an online control panel where we provide detailed and up-to-date information on content usage and revenue provided by the platforms we work with. As soon as the platforms report the download, streaming, video, etc. data, we process and organize the information into comprehensive, rigorously detailed monthly revenue statements. Continuous Learning In conjunction with digital stores and platforms, we are constantly testing, analyzing and innovating in all areas – from the technological to the strategic to commercial. This allows us to constantly have a finger on the pulse of the digital market, in order to best inform our clients/partners via the E-Commerce conferences we periodically organize in our territories, as well as via other mediums of communication (social networks, newsletters, etc.).
