Adam West portrayed a not-too-fit caped
crusader, wearing a cowl with very short
ears and painted eyebrows. The cape,
shorts and boots were made of silk and
the utility belt carries a gadget to solve
any problem at the end of every episode.

TIM BURTON’S BATMAN
This version of the dark knight created
the base for all the movies since. The
black rubber suit sacrificed mobility for a
strong and intimidating look. The added
muscles successfully emulated his
counterpart in the comic books.

THE DARK NIGHT RETURNS
Frank Miller (Sin City, 300), introduced an
old Batman retired since the death of the
second Robin. The cowl with small ears
is contrasted by a bulky physique. The
introduction of the military style pouches
on the utility belt added a realistic touch.

1973 Batman animated series
This Batmobile is the first to feature the yellow
bat emblems on the doors. The nose of the car,
where the hood is, also has a "V" depression
1966 - Batman TV series
This Batcycle is a 1965 Harley
Davidson with Robin's
sidecar — a detachable
self-propelled vehicle.
1978 - Batman
animated series/comics
This is the last of the
Futura–type cars. It looks
more like a toy. However,
the nose was elongated to
distract from that.
1986 - Frank Miller’s graphic novel
Easily the largest Batmobile. This ‘tank’
was created and modified due to riots. The
only thing that can damage it isn't from
Earth. It shrugs off gunfire, grenades, and
rocket launcher attacks, and offers its own
array of heavy weaponry.
