The Edinburgh Festival goes... fringe If you are there this year, we have five shows to recommend. Guaranteed Nudity – Duck and Cover Theatre The Space on the Mile, 11th-23rd August, 21:10 Guaranteed Nudity is a topical comedy sketch show centered round the theme of justice. In today's society, inequality is everywhere: be it gender, religion or race related. Injustice is prevalent. Through a series of scenes and songs, The Paisley Tie Company are here to question what is fair with their new show Guaranteed Nudity. What are the consequences of inequality, hilarious or otherwise, and who really decides what's just? A laugh a minute and nudity guaranteed, don't miss out! For more information visit: www.facebook.com/duckandcovertheatre MenSwear Collection: 3.2.F*ck – Lights Up Entertainment C-Nova, 30th July – 25th August, 17:15 Three. Two. F*ck tells the story of three friends who have broken into the music scene, after years of struggling on the underground circuit. When a prestigious music magazine names them “the next big thing”, comparing them to The Monkees and The Wombats, they begin to question the legitimacy of their legacy. They will not be pioneers of some new era because they’re not different, and they will not be remembered for being different… but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be remembered. The sudden fame provokes discord, as the band argues about the validity of their career and whether the key to true success lies in the fate of legends like Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix. The way forward seems simple - he'll hire someone to do what no one will do voluntarily. Bring him to satisfactory orgasmic climax. James's carer doesn't understand why he would want anything to do with a sex worker and it's going to take more than a hooker, with a BA in Sociology, to convince him otherwise. A touching and topical new black comedy about spiders, superheroes, Socrates and shagging. The referendum is an important vote for the United Kingdom and the play explores the facts and figures being thrown at us. Follow Mowgli, as she journeys through the jungle in search of the truth of who to vote for. As Mowgli walks, she finds herself being lured into the treetops by the monkeys, where she meets David Cameron, with Alex Salmond, the tiger and Nigel Farage and the slivering snake. Mowgli tries to come to a conclusion. With silly songs, Scottish dancing and enticing poetry the cast explores the Referendum like never before.
