TSUDAKOMA Corp. will exhibit state-of-the-art jet looms in ITMA 2011 to be held in Fira de Barcelona
Gran Via from September 22, 2011 to September 29, 2011 for 8 days on the theme of “Smart Ecology” Ecology and Economy in Harmony - (Hall 3-D160).
Tsudakoma continues to emphasize users’ needs while creating weaving machinery since their foundation in
1909. Tsudakoma will demonstrate user- & environmentally-friendly, high-quality looms with wide versatility, and enhanced basic abilities.
Tsudakoma continues to develop their products for more user-friendliness and hearty after-sales service resulting in longer patronage while pursuing super-high speed, best quality, energy savings and value addition.

1) Proposal to the next generation - “Concept Model”
Super-high speed & best quality
Tsudakoma will demonstrate a
concept model that pursues superhigh speed and a universal design
as a proposal to the next generation. Speed is an eternal mission of
jet looms.
Our combination of sturdy structures and efficient power systems
achieves a high plane of speed and
quality. Employing CFRP parts
enhances its productivity and operability. Finer air control reduces air
consumption more.
Plastic healds also reduce noise and vibration. This is the concept model for the next generation with advanced basic abilities.
We’ve upgraded the “Weave Navigation System” with enhanced functions and an enlarged display for multiple windows. More information can be provided simultaneously.
Its usability goes a step further: “Tune Navi” collects the items required for style change on a setting page.
“Patrol Navi” provides the operating status of the loom, such as picking conditions, downtime graph, and
tension graph. With “Eco Navi,” efficient setting and adjustment to reduce air consumption is possible, and
“Quality Navi” shows solutions for fabric quality through an interactive method. We’ve added video so customers can adjust the loom while viewing an instruction video.

2) “Fancy design towel” – Proven techniques in air jet weaving of terry
ZAX9100-Terry Air Jet Loom
The ZAX9100 weaves wide-ranging fabrics: dress material, denim, worsted fabric, terry towel, glass fabric,
tire cord, airbag, and various technical fabrics. Aiming to weave quality fabrics while minimizing running
costs, Tsudakoma continues to produce more environmentally-aware products.
Tsudakoma seeks to create a loom anyone can use to easily weave high-quality fabric. In pursuit of the
ultimate user-friendly loom, the ZAX9100 Air Jet Loom was developed.
Tsudakoma’s terry-weaving know-how was integrated into the excellent basic ability of the ZAX9100, and
the ZAX9100 Terry was produced as an exclusive terry-weaving air jet loom. Tsudakoma has a proven track
record with air jet looms for terry-weaving.
All of Tsudakoma’s terry-weaving know-how is integrated in the “Versa-Terry System.” The “VersaTerry System” is the accumulated wealth of Tsudakoma’s terry-weaving: Various systems that Tsudakoma
developed especially for terry are enhanced and new technology for weaving various designed terry towels is
employed. The ZAX9100-Terry Air Jet Loom weaves various designed terry towels, such as multi-height pile
towel and multi-cycle pile towel (3- to 7-pick cycles), with a nice touch and feel.
A wider scope of application of weaving materials is achieved by the weft insertion system for chenille yarns
and the electric yarn catcher.
With enhanced basic abilities: high-speed, wide versatility, high-quality, energy-savings, and operability,
a real user-friendliness is implemented. The “PSC Programmable Speed Control” reduces the speed only
during difficult border sections.
The ZAX9100-Terry also gives due consideration to energy conservation. Weft insertion with low airpressure, which is kind to weft, is attained. Employing the twin-nozzle valve and the optimum air-route
reduces air consumption by 10%.

3) Water Jet Loom integrated with a positive electronic Jacquard machine for higher value addition
“ZW8100 Water Jet Loom”
Tsudakoma has developed the new “ZW8100” that inherits the basic abilities of the “ZW series” that has
enjoyed an excellent reputation as the global standard water jet loom and has enhanced stability at high
speed. Tsudakoma has continued to focus on ultra-high speed operation which is a mission and the basis for
the jet looms. The ZW8100 is optimally designed for its frame structure, beating and shedding, and increases
its filling insertion performance with new nozzles and a short cloth passage.
This increases the ZW8100’s operation speed by 10% while reducing electric power consumption by 5% and
on-loom vibration by 50% compared with existing models.
The ZW8100 supports a wider range of fabrics: from fine to thick yarns, from narrow to wide widths, and
unbalanced construction such as double weave. The main goal for fabrics is high-quality while it is highspeed for jet looms. The “PSS-W Programmable Start” is newly developed to prevent stop marks.
The application of water jet looms has broadened. The combination of new nozzles closely located near each
other, a twin pump, and 3-color weft selection allows stable high-speed operation. The ZW8100 integrated
with a positive electronic Jacquard machine weaves various Jacquard fabrics including technical textiles.
The ZW8100 employs Tsudakoma’s “Weave Navigation System” that is highly regarded among air jet loom
users for better operability. Almost all electric adjustments can be done via the Navi-board.
The “APF-W Automatic Pick Finder” is included as standard. It enables automatic pick finding after
recovering from a loom stoppage and re-start. Every possible user-friendliness is pursued.
A water recycling system is provided to this eco-friendly jet loom. We also suggest energy saving &
environmental options.

ZAX9100 Air Jet Loom
The ZAX9100 enjoys the synergistic effects of a smooth warp shed, a well-balanced beating system, the
world’s best weft insertion system, and a robust frame structure. Consequently, the ZAX9100 balances the
conflicting tasks for ultra-high speed, low vibration, and energy savings.
An electronic Jacquard machine, 6-color weft selection and the “PSC Programmable Speed Control” support
weaving value-added fabrics of various kinds and thickness wefts. The “PSC Programmable Speed Control”
controls the rpm according to weft kinds and fabric weaves in order to attain stable weaving, thus the
productivity is increased. Fabrics formerly limited to rapier looms are woven easily while keeping quality
high.
The ZAX9100 is provided with the “Weave Navigation System” and is available for various quick style
change methods. Small batch orders are supported.

3. Reliable Preparatory Machines from “T-Tech Japan”
“Worldwide-standard preparatory machines are available.”
The preparation process has a large effect on loom operation. T-Tech Japan’s products are top-level
performers and the best-quality. They are ready for both small lot production, and the fast-changing market
demands in preparatory machines. They also help improve the quality and operations of the weaving process
that are growing more value-added.
TTJ has the largest market share in the world in filament sizing machines. TTJ’s filament machines attain
stable tension control from the lowest 40N to the highest 800N to satisfy the market demands. The “TSE10F
Filament Sizing Machine” handles fine yarns with low tension control.
The “TTS20S Spun Sizing Machine,” newly developed on the theme of “Dependability and Progress,”
provides easy operation and even sized yarns due to vertical pulling system. With the “Sizing Navigation
System,” operability, operation controls, and quality controls are carefully considered. The detailed controls
achieve superior energy-savings making the “TTS20S” contribute significantly to the best weaving conditions
of the loom.
