SWA Volunteers Rock!
On November 7th, 2015 SWA celebrated all of its volunteers by hosting a Volunteer
Recognition Brunch at our Lantana Transfer Station Visitor’s Center. It is an honor to show
our most heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to our volunteers. The standing- room- only
event was attended by over 80 volunteers and guests. They enjoyed a catered brunch
followed by an awards ceremony. The Solid Waste Authority would also like to thank the CIS,
Public Affairs and Recycling teams for their part in making this a festive time for all who
attended.

Thanks to our more than 350 SWA Volunteers who so kindly met the challenge in 2013 and
2014 for contributing over 36,169 hours of volunteer service valued at $754,123.65 to further
the mission and goals of the SWA! Our volunteers contribute so much to our organization,
and that includes your skill sets, your willingness to help others in need, your vision to help
inspire and educate others in order to help build a cleaner environment for future
generations, and above all, the time you devote towards our cause for a brighter tomorrow.
Your generosity radiates and shines throughout our community; we can’t thank you enough
for everything you do. You are what makes SWA’s Volunteer Program so Special!
