FOREVER FAITHFUL
“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations
generations.” Psalm 100:5
2012-2013
From The Principal
Principal’s Desk:
Greetings TBCS,
This morning I had the privilege of
watching our students take part in their last
practice for the Christmas Program tonight at
7:30 pm.
Hearing the voices of children
glorifying our Lord is priceless, and seeing
them using their gifts as they play various
instruments is a delight.
Our program is entitled O Come, All Ye
Faithful – Ceremony of Lessons and Carols
Carols. For
me, the Christmas season doesn’t fully begin
until I hear children singing glory to God. Yes,
I know it is much deeper and more profound
than that, but it sure is a beautifu
beautiful image of
God’s handiwork
work here and now. It is my
prayer that many of you are able to attend this special night as together we celebrate a gift
that none of us deserved or could earn; praise God!
Next week many special events are taking place in and out of school. Some of the
highlights are:
1. Grade 5
5-6 Victoria Tea
2. JK/SK Ginger Bread Houses
3. Grades 3
3-8 Singing at Jasper Place
4. Grade 7
7-10 Talent Show
This truly is a season of joy that allows us not only to celebrate, but also take part in many
fun activities. Have a blessed weekend everyone!
Shalom,
Andy Alblas

From our School Community:
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: "O Come All Ye
Faithful" will be held tonight, December 14, at
7:30 p.m. at Hope C.R.C. Students will be sitting
with their families this year. Please arrive at least
10 minutes early so the program can begin on
time. Nursery will not be provided.
BAZAAR AND AUCTION 2012 UPDATE: Once
again we had another fun filled and successful
Bazzar and Auction. A big THANK YOU goes out to
the many volunteers who put their time in to help
it run smoothly. We want to thank the ladies who
made all the delicious oliebollen on Thursday
morning before the bazaar. Also, thanks to all
those who worked in the kitchen preparing food,
in the games rooms, and selling different goods.
We are very blessed to be part of a Christian
community that can work together and put on
these events. So far a total of $38,500 was raised
at this year’s bazaar. Thank you to all who
donated their business services, new and used
items, and hand crafted items for the
auction. Once again it went very well. We want to
also thank our Auctioneer, Alex Szczomak, and
our auction recorders for making the auction run
smoothly. They did a great job. Most of all we
thank our Heavenly Father for this school that our
children can attend and we all can be a part of.
“ For the Lord is good and his love endures
forever, his faithfulness continues through all
generations.” Psalm 100:5
The Bazaar Committee
PRAYER REQUESTS: Our Christian sympathy
goes out to Jonathan and Emily Bakker and family
with the passing of their unborn son, Jonah
Immanuel. May the Lord grant you comfort and
fill you with His peace. We pray, too, for Kadenze
as she recovers from surgery and for John and
Jeannette Meijaard as they care for her.
1:00 PM DISMISSAL: On Friday, December 21,
the students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm. The
buses will be leaving school at 1:10 so please
make arrangements accordingly.
CONGRATULATIONS to Paul and Erin Voortman
and family on the birth of Cole William. God bless you
as you welcome this little one into your hearts and
home.
ATTENTION COMMITTEES: Receipts for donations
or refunds must get to the bookkeeper, Trudy Bolt, by
the end of the year. Also, please inform her about
address changes so all tax receipts can be mailed out
correctly. Thank you.

school day up to and including Dec. 21. Long form
and Anytime order forms will not be filled during the

great need for both in our city. Thank you.

From the Classrooms:
JK & SK - Mrs. Kaemingh
Well here we are at the last school week of
December which means our gingerbread house
decorating afternoon is just around the corner.
We are anticipating a great afternoon on
Wednesday from 2-3 pm. Please consult your
December calendar for the details on what to
bring. See you then!

*Work folders went home yesterday. New word wall
words were sent home but we will not have our test
until the Thursday of the week we return to school.

the new year. Please read the information that was
attached to the Spelling list.

☺ Join us tonight as we celebrate the birth of our
Saviour at our school Christmas Program.
☺
We enjoyed our delicious Pizza Lunch today.
Thank you, “hot” lunch ladies!
☺ In Bible this week, we reviewed the pattern of
the judges and the judges we learned about.
However, our test has been postponed to Tuesday
because we forgot to take home our binders to study
for Thursday’s test! Oops!!

math. Grade 3 worked on solving problems,
estimating, and adding 2 digit sums. Grade 4 worked
on estimating and adding 4-digit sums, mental math
tricks and estimating differences.

broken people.

recently! We have been making good use of
them!!
We will have a small Christmas celebration next
week Friday in our classroom. If you wish to send
in any snacks to share with the class, please send
it in with your child by Thursday or Friday.
Thanks!
✰ Students have been asked to contribute hats,

for the afternoon! Next week we are going to learn
how to do calligraphy with real pens, nibs, and ink.
We’ll use this skill to label our coffee table book.
