Roadside Spraying Program 2014
The Agricultural Service Board of the M.D. of Bonnyville No. 87 and/or Contractors
will commence spraying roadside ditches along provincial highways and other municipal roads, as required to control the spread of weeds and brush growth on or about
June 1st and through the summer until the end of September.

Accounting Clerk-TCA/Project Costing – Reporting to Manager of Financial Services,
this position includes performing and maintaining controls of tangible capital assets,
project and asset costing, inventory and gravel.
General Labourer – The Transportation and Utilities Department is looking for a summer student to complete general tasks around the
Public Works Shop.

HALL HAPPENINGS
Alexander Hall
June 15 – Celebrate Father’s Day with breakfast at the Alexander Hall. Breakfast will
be served from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per family or $7 per person.
Fort Kent Senior’s Hall
June 4 – Celebrate Senior’s Week with an evening of Floor Curling. Games start at 7
p.m. and the cost is $4 per person.
June 16 – General Meeting of the Fort Kent Senior Citizens Club at 7:30 p.m. For more

Goodridge Hall
June 8 – Goodridge 4-H Beef Club’s Invitational Heifer Show at 1 p.m. Concessions on

Every Tuesday – Come to the hall for an afternoon of floor curling. Games begin at 1
p.m. Three games for a toonie or sign up for an annual membership.
Come to Willow Prairie Hall on the last Wednesday of every month for a game of cribbage. Games start at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
La Corey Quilters have wrapped up for the season, and will be back in the fall. Keep

2014 Sidewalk Construction – Therien
Project Overview: The Municipal District of Bonnyville would like to have constructed,
in a new location, a new Fire Hall and Grader Storage Building outside the Hamlet of
La Corey to replace the old existing buildings. Detailed Architectural, Structural,
Mechanical and Electrical drawings have been completed and can be downloaded
from the RFP section of our website at www.md.bonnyville.ab.ca.
Bid Deadline: 10:30 a.m., May 22, 2014.

Those landowners living along a Primary or Secondary Highway who are prepared
to control the weeds along their property should contact Carillion, the maintenance
contractor that looks after these highways. You will be asked to sign a “Weed Control
Agreement” stating that you accept responsibility for the control of weeds in the
ditch along your property. If you fail to control these by mowing or spraying, the M.D.
or Carillion may control them by whatever means it considers appropriate.
The Ardmore Golf Club is now accepting memberships for the 2014 golf
season.
Landowners are reminded that the road allowances are owned by the M.D. or by the
Province in the case of Provincial Highways and any activity carried out within the
road allowances are done at each persons own risk.
Membership fees are: Adults - $150, Juniors - $75, and Family - $375.
Individual rounds will cost $15. For more information, or to purchase your
