BCSSSD Offers:
• Multiply Disabled Classes serving students with a broad range of disabilities with a focus on:
• Academic instruction at each student’s functioning level utilizing a multi-sensory approach,
• Vocational activities.
• Sensory Classes serving high school students with severe cognitive disabilities or those who are
medically fragile:
• Emphasis on communication skills and sensory motor integration
• Provides for therapeutic and daily living needs.
• PASC Program serving students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), grades 9 thru 12(up to age 21).
• Board Certified Behavior Analysts, (BCBAs) working with instructional and therapeutic teams;
• Core areas of focus are individualized for each student based upon assessments using the
Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS) for the School and Community Settings.
• Classroom instruction is based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focusing on
academics, vocational opportunities, and social skills needed to develop the greatest functional
independence within their home, community, and work environments.
