Parent Connection will be hosting two very special events for Dads or another special man in your child’s life, such as a brother, grandpa, uncle or friend. Each event will feature fun activities and games for guys and children 0-6. The Sports Spectacular event will be held at the Downtown Appleton YMCA on February 22nd from 5:30-7 p.m. This will be a great winter getaway for sports enthusiasts! In Oshkosh this year, we are trying something new called “Indoor Expedition”. Families should come prepared to experience the great outdoors-inside! Thursday, February 4. 6:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. First English Lutheran Church 326 East North Street, Appleton Cost: $5.00/person Two Homes, No Battles (For divorced or separated parents) This one-night workshop is designed for divorcing, separating, custodial, and noncustodial parents and family members who are co-parenting their children. Discuss how divorce will be a time of transition and learn what parents can do to make the transition less traumatic. Thursday, April 7. 5:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. First English Lutheran Church 326 East North Street, Appleton Cost: $5.00/person Siblings Without Rivalry This two-night workshop covers practical tools parents need to cope with conflict, encourage cooperation, reduce competition, and make it possible for children to experience the joys having a sibling.
