Our Membership The Legion of Honor is a select group of Shriners. To join, a Moslah Shrine Noble must possess a current Active Duty ID Card from a branch of the U. S. Roberts 817-268-0350 817-236-3852 herbflagg@yahoo.com papalroberts@gmail.com Legion of Honor (LOH) Activities Legion of Honor Membership Attend Shrine and Association meetings, membership events, ceremonials and dinner dances, etc., and actively strive to recruit one new member each year. Donor Relations* Donate four pints of blood, if capable, or make a cash contribution. Join the 100 Million Dollar Club by donation or make a codicil to your will to support our Shriners Hospitals. Additionally, encourage family, members, friends, fellow workers, and acquaintances to do likewise. Moslah Hospital Fund Drive* Participate in Hospital Fund Drive IHOP Pancake Day, Rays of Hope, Storefront and Street Collections, Golf Tournament, and other Moslah fund raising activities, either by attending, or by providing monies, gifts, etc. Shrine Circus* Sell Circus ads (minimum of one) and work at the Circus to ensure the financial success of Moslah Shrine Center. _________ * Not required for Active Members of another Moslah Unit Legion of Honor Competitions We welcome all Active Members to participate as Honor Guard, Color Guard or Inspection Team members. All other Legion of Honor members and their ladies are encouraged to attend with us. We are the representatives of Moslah Shrine and our Potentate, Divan, Nobles and their ladies. We truly strive to be an example for other competition teams to emulate by winning every contest. Currently, we are the reigning Texas Association Legions of Honor (TALOH), International Association Legions of Honor (IALOH) and Texas Shrine Association (TSA) Champions. 2011 International Associations Legion of Honor Champions TALOH & IALOH Mid-Winter Meetings & Competitions Agendas normally include host hospitality, necrology services to honor our fallen Legion of Honor members, an annual business meeting to elect officers and update by-laws, team inspection and field competitions, and the Officer Installation Banquets. Inspection Inline/Open Ranks and Color Guard competitions are conducted using IALOH Rules of Competition. Participating Teams are identified as either Class A (four flag bearers, two armed guards, and Color Guard Captain) or Class B (which will not have Weapons Bearers, but either the flag bearers will bear sidearms or an Armed Guard, who may be supplied, will be on the field). http://www.ialoh.org/assns/TALOH/ta.html Mid-Winter & Competition 2012 - March 1-3 - New Braunfels, TX http://www.ialoh.org/ Mid-Winter & Competition 2012 - March 21-25 - Alexandria, VA http://www.tsa2012.org All-State & Competitions & Parade 2012 - May 30-June 2 - Tyler, TX All TSA Units and Nobles are invited to attend. Agendas normally include a LOH hosted hospitality room, team inspection and field competitions, luncheon or dinner and parade of all Texas Shrine Center participants. Shriners International Imperial Council Meeting 2012 - July 1-5 - Charlotte, NC All Shiners International Units and Nobles are invited to attend. Since the International Legions of Honor competitions are conducted at the IALOH Mid-Winter meeting, We do not normally participate or compete at the Imperial Session. Legion of Honor Flag Presentation, Honor Guard, Parades & Community Events We represent Moslah Shrine at other Shrines, and at military functions and community events. DFW National Cemetery Grand Opening Fort Worth VA Outpatient Clinic Grand Opening Annual April Medal of Honor Parade in Gainesville, Texas Meetings at the Masonic Library & Museum (except when dark) The Legion of Honor normally meets in the basement at 6:30 PM for family dinner followed by Stated Meetings at 7:30 PM, normally on the fourth Monday of the month. Moslah Shriners normally meet at 6:00 PM for dinner followed by Stated Meetings at 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of the month.
