Letter from The President
On behalf of our Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to share some thoughts
about where we have been and, more importantly, where we are going. One
constant for Key School has been its commitment to its mission. Recently, the
Board of Directors, staff, and our marketing firm (Ride for the Brand) revised our
mission statement. The statement now reads:
Since 1966, Key School has been providing an individualized learning
environment that continuously challenges every student’s unique strengths in
the classroom. This success oriented learning process is designed to instill
confidence and unlock intellectual potential.
We are dedicated to equipping our students with the skills and strategies
necessary to achieve, not only in academic pursuits, but also beyond.
Everything Key School does is to facilitate the development of our students
and provide them with a specialized environment where they can excel.
We have also introduced a new logo. You can see it on the front cover of this
publication. The combined message of the mission statement and the new logo is
one of unlocking opportunity. Within the classrooms of Key School are dedicated
educators that guide students towards the discovery of their set of keys. And,
perhaps more importantly, how to use their keys to unlock their potential.
I have the pleasure of working with Kerri Benson and the Board of Directors to
imagine what Key School could be. A year or so ago we received funding from
the Sid Richardson Foundation to research the impact that our strategies have on
students. We were pleased that statistically, significant improvements were found
in all areas. With this knowledge we hope to expand the offering to additional
audiences of students that could benefit from the strategies.
Key School is devoted to helping children find their key to success.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Platt Allen III
President

Why I Am Thankful For Key School
My son and I are so happy to be a part of the Key School family. He loves to go to
school! Key School has shown him great areas of success as well as helping him
in his areas of weakness. There is no other school that adapts the curriculum so
individually or has such small classes for the students who do not function well in
large groups.
He is now happy, confident, and learning! Key School is an absolute God-send!
We are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful school.
Gratefully,
Key School Parent
